CNN Reports on President Bush - Where's the Love?

Replace Bush with Obama there, and what will you get? Other leaders begging to shake his hand? Or something more moderate?

I'm convinced most of them would be very enthusiastic about shaking hands with Obama. No one's going to be begging to shake his hand, but... see, I'm looking at Lula, the President of Brazil, who's walking right after Bush and seems very well-received (particularly by Berlusconi, I'm kind of amused by that one). Something like that, only much more excited.

I almost feel bad for Bush. Almost.

I don't know if it's his prerogative to shake hands first or theirs. That's why I got confused when looking at this.

What actually happened was that he had already shaken all of their hands (some twice, if you count the day before) earlier. It still looks very awkward, though.

I noticed someone commented on that as well. I didn't know if he was joking or not. And still, it doesn't hurt to shake their hands again, does it?

Yeah. I don't know why Bush did that. Most people would see the walking and shaking and not the shaking everyone's hand individually. That's the time Bush should have shaken their hands. My only guess is that he's still in shock from the election.

lol. You know that when the outcome was announced that Bush was very upset about it, then did an about-face the next day.
