Epic Battle Event: Legendary Gauntlet No. 9
3 powerful opponents arrive in Pokémon Masters EX with the return of the Legendary Gauntlet. Functioning the same as past Legendary Gauntlets, players will use the sync pairs they have raised to battle through Cobalion, Latias, and Registeel's Legendary Arena battles in succession..
As usual, Players can use as many sync pairs as needed to complete these stages and rack up as many wins as possible. Once a sync pair has been taken into battle, however, they can't be used again regardless of the battle's outcome. Players can earn a variety of rewards by hitting certain win streak milestones, including Battle Points, Move Candy Coins, Guaranteed Lucky Cookie 10 (teaching the Move Gauge Refresh 2 Lucky Skill), and 1★-3★ Deluxe Lucky Cookies. As is now standard for the Legendary Gauntlet, Special Titles have also been added to Prestige Rewards for this Epic Battle Event. The titles obtained from each Legendary Gauntlet will only be available for that specific gauntlet, and will not be able to be acquired in future events.
- Cobalion is weak to Fire-type moves. Cobalion is resistant to all damage thanks to the Healthy Advantage 8 passive skill. This protection can be negated by inflicting Cobalion with a status condition, although its resistance to any status condition increases each time Cobalion recovers from one, until it becomes immune. Cobalion last appeared in Legendary Gauntlet No. 4 in October 2024.
- Latias is weak to Dragon-type moves while on its first HP bar, and weak to Fairy-type moves while on its second and third. It is joined by Flygon and Alakazam which are weak to Dragon-type and Dark-type moves respectively. Latias's Fluid Fortification passive skill reduces any damage it takes the more its stats are raised, but lowering its stats causes it to take more damage. While on its second HP bar, Latias will also gain or lose evasiveness if it dodged or failed to dodge, respectively, incoming attacks. Latias last appeared in Legendary Gauntlet No. 3 in August 2024.
- Registeel is weak to Fighting-type moves, and it has passive skills that reduce the damage it takes when its Defense or Special Defense is raised, as well as moves and passive skills to raise its Defense and Special Defense. Stat changes to Defense and Special Defense have a greater effect on damage output for both allies and opponents, so lowering Registeel's Defense and Special Defense is the recommended strategy. Registeel last appeared in Legendary Gauntlet No. 4 in October 2024.
Players should also note the following when playing this event:
- To participate, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player.
- Area info completion data will not be carried over the next time this event returns.
- The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those players can actually obtain.
- It may take some time for rankings to be updated, meaning the in-game rankings may not reflect the most recent results.
- Battles finished after the event period ends may not be reflected in the rankings.
In this one-time-only 5★-Select Type Scout, players can spend 3,000 paid gems to receive an ×11 Scout, as well as an additional bonus selection of a 5★ Sync Pair from a pool which includes a wide variety of Fair-Exclusive Sync Pairs. This scout will be available through to October 20th at 10:59pm (PDT).
