To Erika, from Shirona.
This, I'm writing to you about is a true story!!!
Early last year, I was feeling very sorry for the Pokemon Company to have Arceus as their last Pokemon. Seeing that they had ran out of ideas on making new Pokemon, I decided to create my own Pokemon ideas and send them off to Japan.
The Pokemon game idea I had, is called Pokemon Myth and Pokemon Legend, the third was Pokemon Fable. It is based in a new region called Grandoh, which is based on Northern England and Scotland. There is a female Pokemon Professor called Professor Willow, and her starters she had for the new Pokemon Trainers are followed.
:Growchic is a Grass Type, Bird of Paridise Pokemon, in which evolves into a Grass and Flying Type Pokemon, called Florap and Carnidise.
:Firger is a Fire Type, Tiger Pokemon, in which evolves into a Fire and Ice Type Pokemon, called Tibustable and Tiphlodable.
:Ribblmander is a Water Type, Tadpole Pokemon, in which evolves into a Water and Electric Type Pokemon, called Ribblnewt and Ribbltoad.
The two trainers had also a female rival, who just do nothing in Pokemon Battles, but let her Pokemon do the work without any command. She is far worse than Paul and Silver, and what she sees in Pokemon is just stepping stones, kind of like Rika in Digimon Taimers.
The Gym Leaders I'd made are followed in Type and Gender.
Fire-Female
Electric-Female
Water-Male
Dark-Female
Ice-Male
Flying-Male
Fighting-Male
Psychic-Female
The Elite Four
Grass-Female
Rock-Male
Steel-Male
Ghost-Female
The Champion of Grandoh is a world famous Pokemon Expert called Jules, but after his retirement, his title was passed down to his daughter in Pokemon Fable.
The Villains in my version is called Team Dark, lead by a female Villainess who wants to take over the Pokemon World. However, with Team Rocket also on Grandoh, she had found herself some competition, like Team Magma and Team Aqua in Generation III.
The Legendary Pokemon that shaped Grandoh is called Daymus (Psychic and Fire Type) and Nightusk (Psychic and Dark). The third is Alphus, in which the national Pokedex number is 000, and is a Unknown Type.
The games would have seasons, and a seasonal Pokemon called Seasonia, in which can change it's form by seasons.
Spring-Water
Summer-Grass
Autumn-Fire
Winter-Ice
I then send off the ideas to Japan, and it wasn't until a few months later, that I'd recieved a letter that said.
'Thank you for showing us your ideas, and we appreciate on what you think about our products. However, the reason why we've send your ideas back, is because we don't accept ideas from outside our office. To appreciate your hard work, we'd send you a free Pokemon Keychain and badge, and we hope that you'd like our new products from Pokemon soon. - The Pokemon Company'
I wasn't dissapointed, because I saw that they do appreciate on what I think of their work. However, as I saw pictures of the charecters from the twelth Pokemon Movie on Bulbapedia, I noticed by coincidence, that the main villain's hairstyle is similar to my Electric Type Gym Leader's. When Generation V information came out, I saw that Zoroa and Zoroark looked similar to the Wolf Pokemon I had drawn, called Colf, Wolfonoke and Sanonoke. The season Pokemon that resembles a deer is similar to my version. There is a Flying Squirrel Pokemon, that's almost identical to my Colugo Pokemon, Flymour and Lekyte, the two mascots are similar to the Legendary Pokemon I had drawn. The Pokemon Professor too is female, just like my ideas, and the Legendary Pokemon, Victini, had the same Pokedex numbers as my third Legendary Pokemon.
These coincidences signified that the Pokemon Company went and drew their own Pokemon, out of some of the ideas I have done. I am not cross for what they did, I was just happy to help them out! I still have the ideas, and if I could upload them onto Bulbagarden, then you would see how coincidental it is to Generation V.
So if you want to send the Pokemon Company some of your ideas, be my guest. Sometime in the future, you would certainly see a pokemon, almost identical to yours!
