Okay, so I went to the book store the other day, and I was reading the Pokemon XD guide book. SO far, heres my rating for XD:

I was VERY dissapointed in XD. If you ask me, I think that the creators were slacking off. (and I have never even played Pokemon XD)

I totally LOVED the Cipher people in the first game. Ein(hot!!), Nascour, Venus, and Dakim were the best; and then they got replaced, which absolutely pisses me off. Same thing with Suicune Entei and Raikou, now Im even more ticked off.

I was fine with Miror B. beng in there, knowing there would be a person I could remeber the other four by, but when they gave him that lighter skin tone, that changing of his afro, that wierd outfit and that masturbating position, nuh-uh, might as well make him another person cuz he aint the Miror B. I knew and Admired.

Then they put in those so called "Robo Kyogre" and "Robo Groudon", THAT just went over the line. If they actually made Kyogre and Groudon into shadow Pokemon, I would be fne with that; but I aint accepting no Robo-shit for Pokemon.

So as you can see, Im for Pokemon Colosseum all the way.
Thank you and Good night!

Now that puts me to my question: Which one do like? XD or Colosseum?

Pokemon Colosseum is the worst Pokemon game I've ever played. It's tedious as hell, doesn't really have much in the way of story or likable characters, and just isn't fun at all.

XD improves on Colosseum in so many ways. Purifying pokemon is a hell of a lot less obnoxious, the game is longer (but not in the "oh God how long is this game going to last" sort of way), you don't have an obnoxious sidekick running around with you all the time, and it actually has something resembling a plot. While XD is FAR from perfect, it's still a great improvement over the pile of shit that is Colosseum.

It wouldn't be so bad if this didn't come from someone who has never even played XD. Looking in a guide book =/= being able to make a good judgement.

Missing the point of the Robo Groudon/Kyogre for example...

I just recently bought myself a Game Cube myself, and I started with XD. Personally I loved it and ended up buying Colosseum not long afterwards. Both games didn't seem as long as the Advance games, though that's probably cos it's easier to play XD/C for a longer length of time, I'm not sure.

I found Colosseum tougher than XD, mainly cos a lot of the time my opponents were ten levels or so higher - I had to spend lots of time in Mt Battle before taking on a few people. The last boss was tough as hell, mainly cos I wasted my own energy catching everything before him (and at first he was 15 levels higher). XD did seem a lot easier, and I had something to catch with the master ball supplied in the game (dark Lugia, it was the only thing I couldn't catch elsewhere).. I ended up trading Colosseum's master to Ruby.

Ok I seem to be going nowhere fast here. I love both, they're both good in different ways - Colosseum was harder and I do like the idea of an ex-Snagem member being the one you control (though I do wish I could ditch that pervy girl sometimes - why can't you send shadows into Phenac Stadium, it's the perfect place to battle my lower level shadows who need purifying). I do like a good challenge, and it is that. Though I've got a good 30 odd Pokemon to purify, XD they're all done, most of which are rotting away in the Chamber waiting for the very few newbies left.

While I'm here, what basic levels are everyone in Deep Colosseum, where you can re-battle Miror B etc..

WHAT?! You can re-battle the people in the Deep Colloseum in Pokemon Colosseum?

(Does that mean I can re-battle Ein? *o*)

Supposably. I only got as far as the reception area as I was a bit wary of their levels - and I had two low level shadows with me. I read it on Serebii, I suppose people who've been there will know for sure.

You have to battle through the Deep Colosseum five times to get one of the Shadow Pokémon.

Which I heard is just a Shuckle. What level range is everybody in this Colosseum?

The first four challenges are level 60-65. The levels go up to 70 in the fifth challenge, however.

Thanks for the info.. looks like my purifying all my shadows first plan is a good one after all, lol. Currently my team is level 62, with the exception of Meganium who's 60.

I had Espeon and the legendary dogs in their 60's.... but then My friend was forced to sell her Gamecube.

I havent played Pokemon Colosseum in about a year....
Im desperate....

I don't really like any characters in XD (besides Greevil for his >D expression), and I havent' played Colloseum. ... But I like the music in XD and find the Colloseum music to be obnoxious. So I'd have to chose it over Colloseum.

Actually, my two Guidebooks are giving me two different levels.
One is saying around the 80's and another is saying around the 60's....
I am officially confused.

That's weird. Maybe they're 60's the first time and you can re-battle a second time, with them in the 80's. If it is 80 then I've got lots of Mt Battle trips to do.

Well XD: GoD was one of the most rewarding Pokemon games ever. Its simple, beat the game get a Lugia. It was also more challenging and had tons of POkemon more than Colliseum. It also makes you wonder, will there be a third adventure in Orre with total XD Pokemon?

They're in the 60s.

It's easy to misread a "6" as an "8", thanks to the relatively small text-size used in the game, which I think is the problem. (The one with the levels in the 80s is the BradyGames guidebook, correct?)

I thought they were 80+ at first as well, but that can't be the case, since my high-50s team breezed through a good portion of them with ease. And since I don't really think it's possible for a level 57 Pokemon to take out one that's level 85 with one (non-Critical, non-SE) attack, I'm pretty sure it's safe to say they're really in the 60s~
