Okay, in general these pics had more time invested into them than the school doodles. All but the last one were done during my school art class, usually within the restraints of 45 minutes and with mediums I usually choose not to work with.

Pikachu with a Pokéball - This is a really, really simple painting/tearing project I did. So quick I didn't even bother to add shading or finish the Pokéball, much less add a background. I hate paint...

Chikorita Card - This one is kinda cute...but it was impossible and totally frustrating to paint. I never finished writing in the details of the card due to time. Chikorita's proportions are off, but I did that on purpose. Why? I dunno. I just felt like it.

Chihiro and Haku - The drawing on this is terrible... Chihiro looks horrible and Haku doesn't look all that great either. However, the shading is okay considering the timeframe this was done in. It was my first Spirited Away pic, what do you expect?

Ninetales Under the Moon - I like how this came out. The shading got a bit sloppy, though, because my art teacher told me to add some blue into the Ninetales' shading, which made it look like it was molding. --;; And I was unable to do anything to fix that, because it was in pastel. Also, the scan looks horrid. It looks a lot better IRL.

Ono-style Ash - Admittedly, I stole the pose from Electric Pikachu Boogaloo. I looked at the picture and drew it on my paper bigger. But hey, I was in a mood where I just wanted to color something, so I didn't feel like doing an original pose. Anyway, the coloring turned out okay on this, and that's all I was going for.

As always, any type of comments are greatly appreciated! ^_~

lol, before evenreading the post I could tell it had to be done in an art class, lol because otherwise I don't think one would want to spend that much money on paint and supplies.

However the Spirited Away picture is my favorite one. I love the shading and texture it looks almost like it could have be done by Miyazaki himself

Pikachu - Aw, how adorable! Good proportion, and I love how you colored the eyes.

Chikorita - Cute once again! Good shading with paint. You could make the text darker, though.

Spirted Away - I'll have to agree with Bell02, this is my favorite! The shading and texture is amazing!

Ninetales - I like how you used the background to make Ninetales stand out, and you used an original pose that made it look like wind is blowing at Ninetales.

Ash - This one's almost too good, if that's possible. It looks like it came straight out of the comic!

Pikachu - you are right, the shading isn't there, but i love how the background of the pikachu is torn like that! it makes the pikachu pop right out at you!

chikorita - KAWAII!!! how cute! the paint job is very nice, it looks very professional. i want to reach in the screen and hug it!

Sen - this drawing is very, very nice! i usually don't like pencil drawings, but this one strikes my fancy! it's very well proportioned. does it say sen to chihiro no kamikakushi? i learned to write it differently, but then again i am really bad a hiragana so i probably learnt it wrong.

Ninetails - you are right, there is too much blue. it kinda overpowers the ninetails itself. it probably does look a lot better irl, it appeared very blurry to me.

ash - the colouring is very nice, especially the shading. i just have something against ash that i serious need to work out -_-'

did your art teacher realise you were drawing pokemon, or did (s)he think they were creatures you made up?

Thanks for the compliments, everybody!

@ Hitchi...

Yep, the writing says Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi. It's mainly in Kanji, though, so that's why it looked different when you wrote it in hiragana. It's written in Kanji (like I wrote it) on my Japanese Spirited Away CD...

The Ninetales scan turned out really bad. -_-;; It made it look a lot choppier than it is, and the blue turned out a lot brighter for some reason, too.

My art teacher knew I was drawing Pokémon. In my art class, you were allowed to draw whatever you wanted for your projects, so he had no problem with it at all. He actually rather liked the contrast between my different styles of drawing them. And I definitely wasn't the only one drawing anime in my art class.

Those are cute! The Spirited Away one doens't want to load for some reason, though...

My favorite is Ono Ash, for the coloring. WOW, that's some gorgeous pencil work. *stares in fascination*

...ooh! Hope it's okay if I just review my favourite one here. ^^;

Pacific Pikachu, you've done such a fabulous job, again, I'm really impressed. Your skill with coloured pencil is something really special, and you make Sato-sama look so gorgeous! ^__^ Your work really does him justice, it's just perfect! The shading makes the picture really come alive, but his eyes are definitely the highlight of the picture, he just makes me melt.. ^-^ Even if you copied the pose and all, you've still done very, very well on it. Nice work! ^_~

Ohh, my goodness. Ohh, the Chikorita. I love it. So much. It's so adorable I just want to pick it up and cuddle it and take it home with me XD;;

The Pikachu is also very cute. ^^ It's nice and simple. The colours are bright and crisp, and the BG is actually neat - it's enough to -be- a background, but it's also not distracting or anything...

Like pretty much everyone else, I think the SA picture is downright lurvely. I adore smooth pencil 'colouring' on art, and that there is just perfect.

The Ninetales is nicely drawn, I believe. I'll agree the blue is a bit much, but that's easily ignored. And as for Ash... man, that's pretty colouring. ;.; Especially on the red parts~

Pikachu: Very cute. Could use a little more shading though... which you mentioned. Nice solid color though.

Chikorita: Cute! Would have looked better if you made the sky a gradient blue, and added shading to the clouds, but generally it is well done.

Sen/Haku: Excuse me while I drool, that picture is beautiful. Good shading but you could have done better on Haku, but then again, still good.

Ninetails: Nice that you did some shading, the background could use some work but I do like the pose of the Ninetails.

Ash: Nice rendering. Looks pretty close to the manga.

Your very talentad.

Pikachu: It's good. Very cute, and very cool. Though the body is not the best out there. But it's very good. It's very cute as well.

Chikorita Card: It is very good. The Chikorita is real good. Though the card kinda looks like it's bent. But still very good. Better than I could do.

Gihiro and Haku: I love Spirited away. Though when you mentioned Haku, I thought he would of been in human form. Gihiro is amazing. That's the best drawn Gihiro Fan Art I've ever seen. Haku is is amazing. I didn't think it would be that good. Great Job.

Ono-Style Ash: That is amazing as well. His hat, and eyes are what got my attention. Very good job. The whole thing is amazing.
