Colour Of The Japanese Gold Cartridge?

Does anyone know what the cartridge colour of a Japanese copy of Pokemon Gold should be?

The one I see most often is actually BLUE, which I find very odd. Especially considering that I haven't seen a red Silver cartridge.

I've had some people tell me that the cartridges are supposed to be blue, but I'd like some more confirmation.

The one I've seen was gold.

Possibly a special edition? Or maybe Crystal Version? I don't know.

For what it's worth, my copy is blue on top and dark grey on the back.

Well actually I'm buying from eBay, so I've seen that one and multiple other ones like it. Since they're on eBay and it's possible they're fake, that's why I'm asking here.
