Perhaps it is an idea for articles about moves to list which move is good in combination (in a contest) with that move. For example: The article about Rain Dance would say that it is good in combination with Hydro Pump.

Anyone up to the task of finding all combo's and updating the articles?

The combinations may be listed on some other websites linked to in the article.

This is a good idea. I often wish Bulbapedia would have more strategic information.

Why yes, they should cite sources and suggest further reading. In any case, you were asking about finding the combinations. I'm just pointing out that other people have already done that.

If I want information, I dont want to go around on a little scavenger hunt around the Internet, trying to get what I want.

Perhaps, to make it easier, we could put a list of all combo's in the Pokémon Contest article?

Why don't you do it? It's not that hard. Out of the hundreds of thousands of potential move combinations there are less than 1% which actually count for something.

On an aside, Rain Dance + Hydro Pump is still a bad combination due to Hydro Pump's 85% accuracy. Surf + Rain Dance is significantly more effective as of R/S--but Thunder/Rain Dance is yet more effective, as Rain Dance makes Thunder 100% accurate.

Just saying. Which sort of brings me to my point, that BMG is not a site for strategy. Sure, we can list it, perhaps in partnership with Smogon, but strategy is always...iffy, because sometimes you have seriously divergent views on the value of a move.

Accuracy? Huh? What does acuracy have to do with it? Im talking about contests.

But I dont really mean strategy, but just listing combo's and their effects, in contests.

Yeah, the battle equivalent would be Defense Curl powering up Rollout.

The Prima R/S guide has the complete contest combo list but I don't have access to it at the moment.

Yes, the Nintendo R/S guide does as well. I'd post it, but I'm too lazy. Besides, it's in our families car, which is driving around forty miles away at this time. Sister has a softball game.
