my brother (who goes by the screen name Hiro) is drawing up his own doujinshi manga he titles Pocket Monsters Chronicles. Here's the basic storyline to it: Hiro, the lesser-known little brother of Ecruteak's 5 kimono girls, gets an Eevee of his own and sets out on a Pokemon quest. Along the way, he joins up with Kenta (anime Crystal Special) and encounters Rocket Dan members, only instead of bumbling buffoon members like the anime, these're more serious members worthy of a challenge, and also unlike the anime, they're not the same members every time, they're more varied. Rocket Dan's main goals in the story are to rediscover the cloning techniques of the late Dr. Fuji so they can make copies of legendary Pokemon (their attempts so far only result in clones that instantly die). One particular member has a Lugia2 in his possession, one of the last works by Fuji before he got nuked by Mewtwo, and for some reason holds a serious grudge against Hiro. His name is Tsubasakuma (I thought up the name myself since Hiero had trouble thinking one. It combines the Japanese words tsubasau, 'wing', with akuma 'devil', which fits an evil guy with a bird as his main Pokemon). As I said in the title, this manga is very dark, and Tsubasakuma's what makes most of this happens. He's a very satistical villian who actually kills people, and one time he shoots his own Pokemon for losing a battle before Giovanni gives him Lugia2 (and his actions scare even Giovanni). This is just some of the neat stuff you're not likely to see in any other Pokemon storyline. Anyway, in case you're wondering, this isn't an alternate universe, this takes place in the anime continuity (with some changes such as Hiro's sister Sakura staying home than going on a quest) and actually battles Satoshi-tachi at some points.
The site to this is www.geocities.com/neoshimamon/PokemonChronicles.html , but right now, there aren't any pages scanned yet. Be patient, they'll come up eventually. Also, try not to stray away from my brother's horrible grammar, I'll be sure to correct that on the manga pages as soon as he scans them.
