So, thoughts?

He's not a comic book, but he *is* a superhero, and what with Disney pulling out all their old properties again, I'd say the time is ripe for a Darkwing Duck film. Especially in the classic 2D animation.

I'd really like to see what they could do with CyberSix. Would they go with the more explicit comic book, or the adapted animated series? Or some mix of both? And how would Hollywood react to her alter ego (and, due to that, who could they cast without making it look too obvious?)?

And non superheroey, how about a Nodwick movie? It's at once a parody of D&D style adventures and a ripping story in and of itself. But because of that tone--a serious story loaded with humor--it would be very difficult to tell right. But if it *was* done right, it would be PHENOMENAL.

I used to LOVE Darkwing Duck -- that would be so awesome if they made a movie around him.

I think it would be cool if they made a movie with the old-school Justice League characters: Superman, Aquaman (who would make a pretty cool movie on his own, I would think), Wonder Woman, Batman and Robin, and the Wonder Twins, along with maybe some other random heros like the Green Lantern, Atom, or the Flash thrown in as well. Maybe even throw the Legion of Doom in there for villians.

Yay for old-school love :)

Well, when the Watchmen movie announced most of my hopes and dreams about comic book movies had come true.

But... I'd really, really like to see a Spiderman movie with Mysterio or Carnage as the villain. That would be so cool >_< !! And I know this will never happen, but I've also really wanted to see a Doom Patrol movie XD

In order of likelyhood:

Captain Marvel/Shazzam: As a really well-done family movie. Specifically an adaptation of the Monster Society of Evil by Jeff Smith.

Green Lantern: As an intergalactic cop movie.

Bone: With a mix of CGI and/or live-action for the humans and Valley characters and the Bone Cousins animated in 2-D, Roger Rabbit style.

Invincible: The entire first arc where he fights his dad.

Teen Titans: The Judas Contract

The Sandman: As a series of anthology films tied together by Morpheus.

The Books of Magic: Re-written slightly to be more of a deconstruction of Harry Potter and it's cliches.

All of them. Seriously, if a comic becomes a movie I'm seeing it. X)

Agree with the Darkwing Duck. Dude, I grew up with that show.

And I thought I heard somewhere they were starting work on an animated Bone? Maybe not. It would be a great movie, though.

Films I'd like to see that stand some actual shot of being made:

Hawkeye
Ant-Man (they keep saying they're going to make it...)
Namor
Green Lantern
New Mutants
Teen Titans
Y: The Last Man (it's SUPPOSEDLY in production)
Flash

Films I'd like to see that stand NO chance of being made:

Nth Man
SOMETHING from the Shadowline books
Nova
New Warriors
Wild Cards
Damage Control (think "The Office" in the Marvel Universe)
Justice League of America (since they canned the last attempt...)

Since they're making Thor, Captain America, Avengers, and Green Arrow, that's essentially my list. I'm sure I could tag on a few others, but none of them seem like they'd make good movies.

Thirded. That'd be very cool; I love Bone, and I love Roger Rabbit. I think the style of that movie would work surprisingly well with the Bone universe.

That being said, I believe there have been rumors floating around that one is in the works, but I don't think I've seen anything concrete yet.

Otherwise, getting back on track here, most of the superheroes I had wanted to see in movies have already appeared (or are being planned), though I would be very pleased to see a Green Lantern movie.

Last I heard, they had casted Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as Captain Marvel. Still...waiting for something else to come out of that.

Green Lantern: As an intergalactic cop movie.

You mean you WOULDN'T want to see Jack Black in a oomedic version (as was HEAVILY rumored to be happening for a while)?

Yeah, there are plans. Someone recently acquired the rights and it's basically..."in production."

Actually he was casted as Black Adam, but yes - it's still in limbo.

I thought the early rumors was that he was Black Adam, but he was officially, or semi-officially, cast as Captain Marvel.

Maybe I've got it turned around...

im still waiting on that direct to video judas contract thing...

but i think that maybe a trilogy of robin movies would be cool. They could show each robin and their origins...backstories...adventures with batman.. if they could some how pull that off, and put nightwing in it...that would be sweet.

Another interesting idea would be a Crisis on infinite earths movie..if that could be pulled off properly it would be awesome.

a batman Knightfall movie would be cool too!

Now that I think about it, they need to make a Bizenghast movie. Preferably with Tim Burton as director.

Hey, Tokyopop's making a Princess Ai movie... maybe they should do something with one of their original properties that's actually GOOD.

Live action version of the newer Teen Titans.

The Dark Knight Returns and The Dark Knight Strikes Again would make awesome movies if they pulled them off right.

Personally, I want an Aquaman movie that is done really good. Better then TDK. Yeah, that'll happen. But Samuel L. Jackson would have to play The Black Manta, except nobody would know it was him. You'd hire an extra, and he'd go into the trailer, where Sam L. would be waiting in full Black Manta gear, then he'd walk out, do the shooting, and go back in. You'd film the reveal scene where he takes his mask off with minimal crew, and then release the film. He wouldn't even get billing. Then, when he pulls off the mask, the entire audience goes "HOLY SHIT OMFG IT'S SAMUEL L. JACKSON!" That would be awesome.

A Green Arrow movie about Green Arrow, not about a SuperMax prison.
