I never really used to think a lot about pairings based on the games, but then I came up with an idea for a fic and now, while it's not my OTP, I'm interested in the ship XD

Any comments on it (besides the flamey kind)? Anyone else interested in the ship? If so, how'd you get interested in it? And are there any other good fanworks out there with the ship?

I can't say I am a fan of it... but what I can say is that the couple look good together and that I can see why people like it. Rival/"opposite attract" ships usually get my interest. xD
 
Ah, thanks for posting that...I couldn't quite put my finger on why exactly I liked the ship until I read your reply. Even though my OTP is a lot like it XD;

I was playing Leaf Green today as the girl character and I came to the part where she and the rival battle in Cerulean City. I thought the whole scene was strangely cute, with the rival leaving and coming right back to give the Fame Checker, with his usual attitude XD
 
Rival and/or opposites attract shippings are, to be blunt and shallow, hot! I like a lot of them although the only one I can call an OTP is InfraRedshipping, Mars x Dawn. Although I did like Redemptionshipping at one point...

But back on topic! Yes, that scene was rather cute and it makes you think "Hey, the guy's relenting here! But for what reason..." It's like as you go through the game he slowly comes to respect you. ;B
 
Haha, yeah, I'm looking forward to slowly playing through Leaf Green and seeing how he changes, at least in the anything-potentially-shippy sense xD

A few days ago I made a big collection of Blue/Green pics on deviantART. I think they're based on Blue & Green from the Pokemon Adventures manga, but in a lot of the pics they still at least look like their game versions XD

bwahaha i should buy myself a copy pf LeafGreen, just to play the game over. I've already finished FireRed and there's no way I'm reseting it.
....now i gots idea-ers.
 
Maybe you can just start on another file in FireRed? I could've sworn I've seen 3 different "slots" for new games o_O

Yay, ideas :D. I have ideas for a big Conflictingshipping fic myself, but barely get any time to work on the outline for it :\

Does anyone know if it would be okay to post "movies" you could watch in Visual Boy Advance (along with the emulator and rom)? I've recorded some of the "scenes" with the rival :D
 
*shrug* eh, i will admit, it's a pretty cute ship. ^^; in my LeafGreen, i named my girl Satoshi and my rival Shigeru...don't ask...XDD;;;
