i realised today that the realesed legandary pokemon of gen 5 have primary types of fire and electric. dialga and palkia had steel and water. fire is supereffective against steel and electric is supereffective against water. do u think this a coincidense or is there a relationship?
 
If you're going to be the original poster of a topic, it is nice to have proper spelling...

Anyways, I see no coincidence. They're two type combos that we really needed.
 
I agree with Ryuutakeshi... THey are type combo's that are a long time coming (I mean serously what took so long for GF t finnally make a damn Fire/Dragon type? 13 years!
 
It's just a coincidence. Fire/Dragon is something a lot of people have been waiting for a while. Electric/Dragon was a bit unexpected, though.
 
Then it's also worth pointing out that a Fire attack from Reshiram and an Electric attack from Zekrom on Dialga and Palkia respectively will only do neutral damage.

Thunder Dragons, Fire Dragons, Frost Dragons, and Dark Dragons are some of the most cliched dragons in history.

Exata yet for some reason we only have two of them.. wierd no? But we haven't seen the rest of trhe Legends if Reshi and Zek are part of a trio I can see him being Dragon/Ice
 
I think, like everybody else, that they are all just unused (or rare in Palkia's case)types to match with dragon.

This. I really doubt they might have a connection just because they have types that beat each other.
