Constuction of the Main Game Characters

There are several templates and its articles in the Bulbapedia which are truly messed up.
The characters' one is one of them.

While Red's one for example is quite complete, I think that Bulbapedia should serve differently, than providing information like alternative names and battle information. The two, and especialy alternative names, take a lot of space, making the page too long for absolutely no reason. As for battle information, I believe that Red's Battle Template is quite good; but isn't Bulbapedia's aim to provide informative content about a topic, instead of battle tips? I strongly believe that at least for main characters, there should be a different article for their Pokemon.

Furthermore, I think that main games characters, with the probable addition of Ranger characters, as well as in my opinion the main rivals as well, should be alone in the template, without minor characters like Lucy Fleetfoot or Mark.

Finally, I think that specifically Leaf, should have her name changed into Green, following a similar template with Red's name, as there are is no official content as of yet, that has her name being known as Leaf. (Although that could probably be cleared up if a figure of her would be released in Pokemon TFG.)

Leaf's name is Leaf. It's in the internal data. We didn't decide it, Game Freak did.

It's hardly a battle tip to provide a character's team...

And the names... I agree they could take up less space. But how and where?

Leaf's name might be Leaf in the internal data, but there is no place in which she appears like this, just like Brendan or Red do. I think that there should at least be a mention of an alternative version of the name. Maybe she will appear in the GSDS, and things will get clearer.

Yes, battle tip might not be the correct term to use, I apologise; but still, they have no form of article and nevertheless, I think that in articles like Lucas', teams get a lot of space for absolutely no reason.

Names could have a form of a subcategory in the article, where the most important of them could be mentioned and explained, something that could also happen with Leaf's name being Green, alternative anime names of the players or pointing out which characters represent which version according to manga. Anyway, that's my idea at least.

Well, if you would ask for my opinion, I would prefer if the version names were used for all characters. Would be much more organised that way, and logical, to add. Not to mention that names like May are not even default by the player, but only PC Ai names. I suppose that this just my opinion, which not many people like. As for Blue/Green, he has one name, which is Blue in English versions, that leaves Green for Red's female counterpart.

I strongly believe that alternative names according to the version have at least to be mentioned.

I really get stuck in those things, but please don't get me wrong.

But Green isn't Red's female counterpart. Green is Red's rival in Japanese, Blue is in English. Heck, they might change it to Green in GSDS since in FRLG he's Green. We'll see. Either way, the counterpart of Red isn't Blue because there wasn't a Blue Version this time around.

Just because it doesn't DISPLAY Leaf's name because you don't get into a battle with her doesn't mean it's unofficial. It's in the data that the guy you fight in Mt. Silver in GS is Red. It's just that no battle gets activated with Leaf anywhere in FRLG. If you WERE to somehow activate one, she would appear as PKMN TRAINER LEAF.
