B/W did away with contests stats(A terrible idea IMO), but I think they should be brought back, with extra application...one that works in battle.

So there's 5 contest stats, right? Well, I think there should be 6. AND...I think that each Contest Stat should contribute to a type.
Smartness would give you a little more Special Attack, Coolness for Speed, Cuteness for Special Defense(Because would you really breathe fire on something like a Jigglypuff?), Toughness for Attack, Beauty for HP, and a new one I'm calling Ugliness(That pokemon like Stunfisk, or Feebas would be tailor-made for) for Defense.

Also, irrefutable proof of Gen 3 remakes, found in research of this suggestion; There is data for contest stats in B/W. R/S introduced contests, of course they'll have them in. BAM.

Also, each pokemon should have a Contest type for themselves; things like Skitty or Jigglypuff would be cute, things like Makuhita would be tough, etc.

Ugliness contests sound kinda mean. :<

I like this idea, but I'd work contest stats like this, like how they're already programmed by nature:

HP = n/a, HP doesn't effect contests.

Attack = Coolness, as a well-appealed attack will look very cool, and should wow the audience. Think Zangoose using Slash.

Defense = Toughness, as showing off your sturdy body to a crowd is sure to impress. Think Machamp showing off a Counter.

Sp. Attack = Beauty, as summoning various elements from nowhere can be a breathtaking spectacle. Think Infernape using Blast Burn.

Sp. Defense = Smartness, as a strong mind is always the best thing to show how smart you are. Think Gardevoir using Calm Mind.

Speed = Cute, as one trait of pure cute is a flighty cutie who dashes about, lost in their own world. Think Clefable using Rest.

Until they introduce Natures that effect HP growth, the HP stat shouldn't effect contests in any way. D: If there is a Contest type for HP, though, I don't think it should be "Ugly".

Since this is exclusively a Video Games idea, I'm going to move it to that section.

I so do agree with this.

I think they shouldn't have made those lame musicals, you don't have to put in any effort and you can't win anything >:C

Another idea I had was Wisdom, but it was pointed out to me elsewhere that pokemon like Stunfisk doesn't really have any categories to live under.

FYI BW didn't do away with contest stats (they're still there), they just did away with contests.

Yes, they are in the coding and still make a difference with say, a Feebas, but they are not displayed, and there's no way of affecting them or seeing them.
