Will contest come back!? I think they will because all of the missing berries are pokeblock ingredients and there is the contest ribbon that looks like the Hoenn ribbon case.

Talk about it.

This is one of the few things that I can predict so easy. Yes, by 99% or higher.

In X and Y a pokemon with any Contest Ribbon will be given a Memory ribbon.

Contest stats are still in the game so you can bet we'll be seeing them again.

They'll most likely come back. They probably changed all Ribbons to a Memory Ribbon in X/Y so that you couldn't just import your 'mon from Gen III and quickly have things unlocked for earning all the Contest Ribbons (there was something about the museum in Lilycove City, no?).

I'm more curious to see if they decide to make any changes to them. Will they incorporate changes found in DPP? Or include some type of musical-like round similar to BW/B2W2? They could also just keep them as close to their originals as possible.

I see them coming back 100%. But I hope they make them like Sinnoh Contests. Or at least change something so that they aren't like the originals. I found them too hard to understand and they frankly weren't very fun.

Contests were problably one of the best things in R/S/E, they better return in glorious 3D.

I would like them to return in the same way they did in Emerald, the contest hall in Lilycove, Battle Tents in the other towns. Contests in exactly the same format as they were in R/S/E. I never liked Sinnoh's contests that much and the Pokémon Musicals were lame so I don't want those mixed in.

Alright! Time for me to shine as a Top Coordinator, 3D style!!!!!! I really hope they become even better than before. It would be really cool if they modeled the contest system after the Animes. Oh my gosh, I. CANNOT. WAIT. POKEMON CONTEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What if the moves are now actually displayed in 3D during the appeal rounds? *___*

And with XYs customization feature, now we can actually dress up for the Contest as well. I think bonus points should be applied depending on how fancy you look.

Definitely. Contests are going to be another feature that takes advantage of the 3D system! Also, Feebas can evolve by Beauty in Gen6, so I'm sure Pokeblocks would come back as well

I want the R/S system where there are buildings in 4 different towns rather than just all in Lilycove in Emerald. That killed it for me. When you have Verdanturf-Fallarbor-Slateport-Lilycove it ACTUALLY FEELS LIKE you're going on a journey if that's what you want to do.

I don't care as much if they ruin what the actual contests are like, I just want to feeling of progression I got from actually leaving one building.

Would sure make evolving Feebas easier. Now if they can just make the damn thing easy to find we're golden.

Imagine Contests in 3D. Maybe they'll make it like the anime and you can mix and match moves to make a dazzling display.

I never touched the contest feature in my life, but the possibility of contests IN 3D definitely sounds interesting.

I want contests to come back, but I also want them to improve them to make them more fun. I want a majorly revamped version of the contests.
Also, YES, 3D CONTESTS!!!

Contests are almost definitely going to come back in these games. I doubt that they would eliminate one of the most well known features from that generation. Plus, it would be just awesome to see Contests in 3DS graphics. I'm hoping that Contests will be more fun in these games. I would participate for fun every once in awhile, but I was never determined to get all of the ribbons either.

I really hope that the contests come back. I'm a Ribbon junkie and the idea of slapping some new bits of silk on my awesome Pokemon just makes me happy. I'd love it if they were in glorious 3D, too. I just hope we don't have to deal with the NPCs doing an appeal and startling your Pokemon. That got irritating fast and made me like the Sinnoh contests a bit more.

But still, Ribbons! MY dream of my Golurk looking like a five star general is coming true! :ksmile:

You and me both. I'm such a ribbon junkie I once took a contest-winning Castform to the top of Mount Battle. >_<

You know what, I'm going to start ribbon hoarding again now.
