Yes, this is a thread to post your favorite utensils, and various appliances. And you know, to adore the looks of a shiny new aluminum/stainless steel work of art.

I love my carrot and potato peelers, and I have a grapefruit slicer, bet most of you don't have that. I just love my utensils! XD

I have a handy pair of wooden pincers that help me get my Poptarts out of the toaster every morning. They're my pride and joy.

A good santoku knife. It's ahdny for cutting just about anything. The one I used for awhile broke. I was sad.

Other than that, the usual.

My mezzaluna is the best thing ever. I use it for cutting up 90% of stuff, despite the fact that 70% of that amount would be better off without it.

A sharp Chef's Knife and a good pan, all you need to do wonderful things with food.

I like using an old fashioned the cheese grater. Especially for sprinkling cheese on my pasta dishes.

My kettle. I'd die without my hot drinks.

Yes, definitely. I love using my kettle to make tea and hot chocolate.

Does a halogen oven count? We have no cooker right now, so the entire family uses this:

Just stick it in the mains. I imagine it'd be perfect for say, people at Uni.

Also, the bread knife...because of a rather grim thing my step-dad told me...*evil grin*.

My mixer is my baby. It's a really old blue kitchenaid mixer that my mom got a long time ago, but I'm the only one who ever uses it anymore. I make cakes, cookies or dessert breads at least once a week with that baby.

My pink knife (wish it was blue) is the knife i use above all others. I love it. The only thing second to it is the cheap Wok my mom bought because it came with two rolling mats (two rice bowls and two pairs of chopsticks) which we us to make home made sushi. I love sushi, just saying.
Also, just saying, I tend not to use the proper equipment for crushing or smashing things. I use the olive oil bottle. It's made of thick glass and it's the handiest tool in the family's entire kitchen. Even though i'm the only one who uses it for that.

My favorite mixing utencil is my Teal Makita Drill with a blender attachment in the chuck. The "Teal Ninja" does a great job at mixing and blending than a regualr hand mixer and having 12 amps of power is more fun than 2. My favorite cooking tool is my Harris Cutting torch. there is nothing like cooking meat with a 6000 degree Acetylene and oxygen powered apparatus used to cut through solid steel. ANd my favorite tool in the kithcen is my visegrip pliers. they can do everything from flip burgers to taking out hot bacon to getting stubborn caps off. i am also workin gon making my own blender attacnment for my 200 feet of tourque impact wrench and see if that will be even more powerfull than the Teal Ninja

a good ol' chef's knife T_T

i've also been lemming pressure cookers, which i'll probably end up splurging on soon xD

I know I shouldn't think this, but anything deep fried is infinitely better in my opinion.

I have a rice cooker I bought 6 years ago at Target for $30. I have used it to make all different varieties of rice (sushi rice, miso rice with ginger, sekihan, turmeric rice) as well as steamed buns (nikuman and anko buns) and even bread baking (thanks to Yakitate! Japan.)
