This has been bugging me for a while.
There's this guy in Celadon city's department store and he says that Copycat is in Cerulean City.
Is this a simple error, beta confusing or was it a mistranslation that was never fixed?

The move Copycat has never existed in a game where you're able to access the Celadon Dept Store, so probably not.

Okay, I'm calm now. I got carried away there. Honestly though, if I was talking about the move I would have said 'the TM
Copycat' not just 'Copycat'.

Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, FireRed, or LeafGreen?

I saw it in Yellow so I assume it's in Red and Blue too and possibly green.
I'm not sure about Firered and Leafgreen.

Maybe its a similar error, like how was it Steven in Emerald, when the you speak to him in Meteor Falls before having a battle, he makes says of their encounter in the Sootopolis City Space Center. The Space Center is actually in Mossdeep City,

So it could be a simple error like this
