Corocoro Point-outs in HGSS

Hey, I was just wondering if anyone was able to discern the room, at least that's what I think it is, behind Gold in the most recent, in respect to the posting time, Corocoro scans. Does anyone recognize it from the original Gen.II games? Similarly, what's the screen to the right of Gold; it looks like one of those Platinum Egg Trades. Was anyone able to recognize those two screens? I'd post an image of them, but there are already multiple links to the article scan in this forum alone.
 
I figured them out a while ago. The three pokeballs are the starter selection screen. That's obvious. the room (the one in shadows) is the entrance image to Sprout Tower. You can make out the center column and the monks... er, sages next to it.
 
Ah, I thought the middle tower had something to do with Sprout Tower, thought it was a new minigame or something though. I hecka thought the other screen was of an Egg roulette; man I need better eyesight. Thank you!
 
If you look at the upper-right corner, I think I see a Rattata...
 
Nope, it's a Rattata. PokéBeach took a close-up. You can see its curly tail on the right.

Whoa, a bunch of us were arguing over whether there would be Kanto Pokémon, and this was right here giving us the answer. I'd seen the Rattata a while ago, but I didn't make the connection for some reason. Hopefully they'll mix it up a bit inside, though I can't exactly think of what else could go in there besides the Gastly at night.

Oh, get over it. For one thing, it's an old, worn tower - if there's anywhere in Kanto or Johto where rat Pokémon would be likely to live, it's there. And for another, this says nothing about how common it or any other Pokémon is in other areas - and it's not like it's a bad Pokémon once it evolves, either.

Yes, there are Rattata, and yes, there will probably be Pidgey, and Zubat, and Geodude, and other Kanto Pokémon. It's time to stop freaking complaining and start anticipating. I and a lot of others, I'm sure, are sick and tired of all the bitching about freaking Rattata and Pidgey. If you don't like that those Pokémon are there, stop whining, and just don't buy it.
 
That's not why I said crap. They threw a random pokemon (and one that is infamous for popping up everywhere) in the corner of one of the new entrance scenes. I think that kinda ruins it, don't you?
 
Eh, it's a little weird, bu it's still an early screenshot. And I actually like the idea of having a few Pokémon in the area pictures.

And sorry if I went off on you there - but for everyone who has been complaining about it, it still stands.
 
I decided long ago that I wouldn't use them, except for the times that I really wanted a pidgeot. Otherwise, I ignored the endless hordes.

And apology accepted. Hey, maybe they'll have sample pokemon in every image, to give an idea of what can be found there.
 
That's what I'm hoping. Seeing a Diglett popping its head out in Diglett's Cave or a swarm of Unown in the Ruins would be awesome.

Dark cave entrance and a bunch of Zubats flying out if they animate them. Now thats a thought!
 
I wonder if that Rattata scurries across that bar, that'd be a nice touch.
