The June 2007 issue of CoroCoro reveals new details about the upcoming sequel to Pokémon Mystery Dungeon (ポケモンの不思議のダンジョン). There will be two versions, as before, subtitled Time Expedition (時の探検隊) and Darkness Expedition (闇の探検隊), which will be released this fall. Some gameplay details are revealed.

It's the end of rescuing.

Dungeon 2 is going to be Relic Hunting themed.

Well, I hoped for better graphic improvement.

Hopefully the storyline won't be so dramatic as the first one.
Ok... It wasn't dramatic when I actually played the game.
But every summarization of the plot that I've read made it sound
dramatic which actually made me not want to buy the game.

What's wrong with drama? The plot was excellent...for the most part. I'm not too fussed about it, but from what I can see of the images, it looks like the same graphics scheme as the first. But as I said, that doesn't mean anything to me.

It's just the way that it was summarized in Wikipedia...
It just wasn't that appealing to me.

Well, yeah, but if I'd trusted what I'd seen on the internet about half the games I own, well, let's just say I'm a lot better off having ignored reviews and such.

Final Fantasy? They get a bit boring after a while...
But hopefully, FFXIII will be at least a bit different from the other FFs.

Mystery Dungeon does have a decent plot. I don't think I would have got through the main storyline if it wasn't for that.

I would sincerely hope anyone playing the main Pokemon games aren't playing them for the story. It's so shallow it might as well be an everyday thing in the Pokemon world (I haven't played D/P so perhaps Team Galaxy means business but still, it's kinda hokey).

PMD had the best story for any Pokemon game, hands down. And you know what? That's bloody sad. =E; I always knew Poke-centric was the way to go.

People totally missed what I meant, didn't they?

I meant the story in other Pokemon Games are so shallow, that it looks like MD has a 1984-level quality story (y;know, 1984...the book by Orwell?)

Actually, I think the title of the book is Nineteen Eighty-Four.

I enjoyed Animal Farm more than Nineteen Eighty-Four though. (For one thing, it doesn't have a book about political theory embedded in it. On the other hand, Newspeak was fascinating.)
