Despite rumors that this month's issue of CoroCoro magazine would reveal information about a new Pokémon game, we still know nothing about the next new release. CoroCoro has, though, shared some information related to the fourteenth movie release.

It may be assumed that these Pokémon will have exclusive movesets to distinguish them from the species already obtainable in-game.

It may be assumed that they won't, and that it's just an opportunity for people who only own one game to get the other legendary.

This is the first time that two paired versions have had both mascots available since Gold and Silver (excluding their 2010 remakes)

Wait, what? First off, Lugia was obtainable in HeartGold and Ho-Oh was in SoulSilver. Secondly, events don't really count towards that.

The only thing CoroCoro will share in its upcoming edition, to be released on Sunday, is that the following issue, dated June 15, will contain the information about a new game.

You can get the event Pokémon during a specific time period (the time it is in cinemas, unless I'm mistaken) so it's not for the "launch".

The dragon obtained will depend on the cartridge used—but there is a slight twist. Players may use this opportunity to obtain the version-opposite dragon in their game, as Zekrom will be distributed to copies of Black and Reshiram to White.

That's not really a twist. Were people really expecting to get a Reshiram sent to their copies of Black and a Zekrom to their copies of White?

Sorry if I sound really mean...but boy.

Well at least the disappointing news was backed up by something more light hearted.

If these Reshirams and Zekroms are going to get special moves, I'd suspect Reshiram would get Zekrom's signature moves and vice versa.

Sucks I have to wait another month for the new game info but the news of the Reshiram and Zekrom giveaway is a up side

In the magazine scan, the Reshiram and Zekrom featured weren't shiny, so I doubt they will be.

Yeah it would, since black and white can't have shiny Reshiram and Zekrom.

Has anyone seen the scan where it talks about revealing the new game? It shows Kyurem Ken Sugimori artwork, and a sceenshot of Kyurem battling a Stunfisk, using Draco Meter. That's very interesting. Hmm?

I don't think that scan is actually talking about the game at all...

If you saw the same pic I'm thinking of, the Shell Spider Blog just used that image along with the announcement...but I'm pretty sure it's just a page from CoroCoro, even an earlier issue perhaps, just showing a battle with Stunfisk and Kyurem...

So, like, it doesn't mean we're going to see the 3rd Edition Stunfisk Version next issue. Sorry.

Like what other people have been saying in the other thread, we still have next weekend when Dengeki will reveal the game info. No need to worry about waiting until next month.

It was perfectly sensible to expect that Reshiram and Zekrom would be distributed via the respective movies regardless of the version being used. If they were shiny or had exclusive moves, fans would have an incentive to watch both movies, but now there is hardly any reason to do so because the distribution doesn't depend on the movie at all.

I'll just get Reshiram from someone on the Trade Forum here... seems like too much trouble if it's an ordinary Pokemon, even if it is Reshi...

I don't believe a third version would be released soon.
The sales are still up, many are still going to get B/W.
Once the sales die down a lot, then maybe it's a possibility.

I see it much more likely for a Ruby / Sapphire remake before a third version.
I don't think the announcement will be of a main series game, but something that is compatible with V-Generation RPGs.

From what I have been hearing, According to the lastest Pokemon Smash, The Resiram and Zekrom that they are giving out for the 14th Movie, The OT for the legendaries are supposed to be ASH?

Serebii confirmed that their OT is サトシ (Satoshi), which is Ash's Japanese name.

Wow, They really have been giving out a lot of Pokemon releated to Ash. Ash's Pikachu, Pidove (based off Ash's), Ash's Scraggy, and now Reshiram and Zekrom will have Ash as their OT. They are really changing it up for this movie! :D
