Could Jessie make it to the Grand Festival this time?

Since they're talking about this in the other thread, do you think Jessie can get 4 more ribbons before Sinnoh ends? Or was her win just a one-time thing?

I can't really see her making it to the Grand Festival legitimately this year. Granted she's won her first two contests in Sinnoh, but both seemed to be one-offs to me.

Personally, I would like Jessie to make to the Grand Festival. It would be very interesting and she could be a good foil for Dawn or Zoey.

I think she'll really get to the GF
Unlike AG it seems that now Jessie is a permament character for all contests just like Dawn (she participated in every contest until now including the unofficial)

In Hoenn Jessie usually cheated so obviously she didn't deserve to win
In Kanto she stopped to cheat if not to count using James' Pokémon- only in the last Kanto contest she cheated but Harley is the one that made her cheat...

In DP she never cheat (though still use others' Pokémon)
Kanto's last contest + DP's first contest proved she can be that good to make it to the final battle while using others' Pokémon and she even won the unofficial with Ash's Aipom
Now they finally had her get to the final battle and win with her own Pokémon
After so much time it makes sense she'll be better than beginners like Dawn and Kanny (and while Zoey and Nando seems beginners too they are really good)

DP also made Jessie seems more like a rival rather than a joke:
Jubilife - Dawn lose but Jessie made it to the last battle
Unofficial - Jessie beat her and won
Hearthome - Jessie did good enough appeal to advance while Dawn couldn't
Solaceon - Again pass the appeal while Dawn didn't and even win
Only in Floaroma she lost to Dawn (and Dawn used Piplup that's probably her best currently)
DP41 the twerps didn't met "TR" but "Musarina" instead and she acted totally like a rival to Dawn
DP49/61 after Dawn didn't make it to the second round the writers let Jessie laugh at Dawn without anyone saying anything to her and even had her win after doing that

It really seems like Jessie is supposed to be taken as a serious rival to Dawn now unlike the joke she was to May
So I think all five coordinators (Dawn, Jessie, Nando, Zoey, Kenny) will make it to the GF (though I think there's a 1% Dawn won't make it to the GF if they're really trying to make her more "realistic" with her loses)
Probably Dawn will beat Jessie and Nando than lose to Zoey/Kenny

This time Jessie also continue to enter as "Musarina"
I guess even if she'd get 5 ribbons in AG she probably wouldn't be able to enter the GF because some of the ribbons would be "Jessica"'s and some "Jester"'s etc ... but this time all her ribbons are "Musarina"'s

I hope sometime they'll find out this is Jessie but let her participate because she don't cheat

If she does then they only gave her that ribbon for Dustox's last big hurrah(winning the contest), but if she keeps it then she's got a chance, albeit a slim one cause too many contest's isn't exactly a good thing to do either.

I think that she'll make it if she wins some ribbons off-screen. I don't think they have time for so many contests that showcase Hikari AND Musashi winning 5 ribbons respectively.

Unless, of course, the gap between the 7th and 8th gym lasts longer than this one, which in that case, they could get two contests in before the GF.

As much as I would like to see her entering the GF, I don't see it happening. Then again, this saga has had some shocking surprises, so anything could happen, but it's still unlikely.

It would be awesome if Jessie made if to the GF, I hope she does. It would be so cool if Dawn lost and didn't make to the GF this time. It would be realistic and would show next gen she gets better and better at it and make it next time. With D/P making all these shockers don't say this won't happen. People thought the Buziel/Aipom wouldn't happen or wouldn't be a perminate trade yet all of the obove happened LOL.

I think that it is very possible and piplup's post pretty much assured me to it.

This could just me being biased because I love Jessie and want her to do well...

It would also make the Grand Festival more interesting because if Dawn has 4 rivals in it then she won't just be beating or being beaten by random people we haven't met.

I never meant they would be in the finals. Maybe Dawn would beat Kenny and Jessie would beat someone we don't know and so would Nando and Zoey.

Then Nando would beat Zoey and Dawn would beat Jessie. Or Replace Dawn beaten by Nando and Jessie beaten by Zoey.

Then Nando will KILL Dawn. (Or Zoey)

I wouldn't say so. For a lot of competitions, the top competitors do tend to know each other. If there were regular contests in each town, then yeah, it might be a bit odd, but since there's only like one in each town, there's a good chance they'll have competed against each other at some point.

On topic, I'd really like to see Musashi make it to the grand festival this time around. She's doing a great job as a coordinator and I hope she continues it.

If you'd asked this last saga, I'd say no way...but then again I'd also have said Jessie probably wouldn't even win a ribbon at all.

Considering how crazy DP has been so far, I'd say that it IS possible that Jessie could enter the grand festival. What if she actually won O_O?? (it could be a nice way of giving Jessie and James a way out of TR, and their Pikachu chasing rut). If she does enter though, I'd expect her to win most of her remaining 4 ribbons off screen. I can't really see them doing that many contests onscreen, it would be a bit overkill. (on the other hand, Team Rocket hardly ever strays far enough away from the twerps that they could enter a contest without Dawn also entering it...)

Regardless of if she enters the GF or not, I really hope she doesn't end up giving the ribbon away, even if Dustox does leave.

I can see that happen if Dustox will leave... but I really hope it won't
It was the first of Jessie's Pokémon to make it to the final battle and also the first to win her a ribbon
She can get a new Pokémon and keep Dustox... I even prefer her to neglect Dustox than release it

If she'll enter the GF she'll probably lose to Dawn/Kenny and she has no chance against Zoey/Nando
But I already said a few times before DP might be Ash's conclusion (winning the league with the last battle Ash/Paul that makes Paul change, beat the E4 and Cynthia) so I think even if Jessie will obviously lose the GF maybe getting enough ribbons and participating at the GF will make her understand she really wants to be a coordinator and not a TR member
So that's way if Ash's story ends TR can get a conclusion too and Jessie will be a coordinator while James... just travel with her XD he doesn't seem interested at gyms/contests/something

Well at least Jessie has improved. In AG she cheated through half of them with Dustox but lost fairly in the others.

The thing with Jessie in AG is if she battled fairly, she always lost to either May or the main coordinator rival of that Contest:

Combusken mopped the floor with Chimecho and Mime Jr, Harley beat her Wobbufett in the first Saffron Contest, Erika and her Jynx scared Meowth away, and I think Drew did beat her once too, although I can't remember.

If Jessie wins the GF it is possible that she, James, and Meowth won't follow Ash anymore and follow the contest circuit instead. In fact, she should go to a new region with May, Drew, and Harley and compete with them in contests.

I think so as long as her appeal and battles are as good as this one... She might even get her 5 ribbons before Dawn.
