Could the show get a title change with DP94?

I just saw Pokemon Sunday and learned something interesting. For those that don't know, Pokemon Sunday airs an old Pokemon episode during the first half of the show. They just aired AG141, but instead of going to AG142 next week, they're going to air DP01... Could DP94 be the start of "Diamond Pearl Platinum" like was rumored? It just seems kind of weird that they would suddenly air the first episode of Diamond and Peal right after Platinum comes out. The whole point of the time slot is to air episodes from the older series, so why air the first episode of Diamond and Pearl unless the series is getting a title change? We also have no idea what DP94 is about, or when it'll even air. Is that because they're trying to keep things under wraps?

The one thing that bugs me is that this seems like an odd point in the show to get a title change. But, meeting Melissa in some random town seems pretty strange too. Perhaps this episode will set something up?

Or am I just reading too much into things?

The week after DP93 is a break. Then we'll (probably) get an one hour special, and the titles to the specials are usually revealed much later than usual (for some reason). That's why we haven't got any new titles yet.. :|

As for your other subject, I really dunno.
 
We could use a new OPED theme. Are they really going to end DP with no starter evo's?
 
They're probably going to air DP 001 to promote Pocket Monsters Platinum. For all we know, they could go right back to airing Advanced Generation episodes the very next week.
 
I really wish Pokemon Sunday would use some of that time to air a new set of specials.

At least this time the writers wouldn't have to waste episodes on "Richie" or "Casey" or "Sakura" since we have more major characters to work with now than before.
 
The thing is...Pokemon Sunday airs on early Sunday mornings, which is pretty much considered to be a nothing timeslot as far as ratings go. It doesn't have the nice primetime slot that Shuukan Pokemon Housoukyoku enjoyed.
 
if they do start pokemon platinum on dp 094 does that mean we will see the new costumes for the main characters?

25/9: One hour special (DP94+95), confirmed. No titles released though.
 
Well I don't mind the break(We did get 6 eps in a row). Can't wait for the titles to be revealed though.
 
I'm guessing that 1-hour special might be the Celestic Contest? Isn't that why Zoey appeared?

Edit: Guess I was half-right. lol.

...and doesn't Super Hero Time airs the very same time? ;-)
 
I was hoping for a new opening but doubt it will happen. Others said platinum would be added to the title in spring along with the 5th gen pokemon reveal in the 12th movie but I'm not sure they're right.
 
I don't see why they wouldn't want to add Platinum to the title. It would make things a little easier.
 
Well, we can (almost) be sure of one thing, whether or not the Japanese version's title changes, the dub will probably end up using Diamond & Pearl: Platinum at one point. :p
