{Surprisingly, I didn't see any recent threads about this. If somebody can find one, feel free to lock this.}

The point for this thread is pretty self-explanatory. Post ideas you have for moves.
-------------
Name: Diamond Burst
Type: Fairy
Category: Special
Power: 110
PP: 5
Accuracy: 100%
Effect: Deals damage, and has a 20% chance to raise Special Attack 1 stage. Unlike other Fairy-type moves, this move deals super effective damage on Steel-type and Rock-type Pokémon.
Description: The user attacks with a diamond-fueled ray that can rip through anything. This move is super effective on Steel and Rock types.
Learnset: Dialga, Carbink, Diancie
Doesn't make contact.
-------------

I know this move is incredibly broken, but I think it's somewhat justified, since only 3 Pokémon can learn it. The logic behind it beating Steel and Rock types is that the ray here comes from Diamonds, and Diamonds are really tough. Mainly, it's supposed to give Carbink/Diancie a fighting chance against Steel-types and a really good STAB [Not to say Moonblast isn't good, but you know.] The advantage against Rock-types is not really important and is only here because I figured it would go with the advantage against Steel-types.

Why not just be fighting type?

Fog

Creates Fog for 5 turns.

Having my move be Fairy-type (or Rock-type) will let Carbink get STAB on it, which I think it desperately needs since its attacking stats are so bad.

Just came up with this now~

Name: Poison Terrain
Type: Poison
Category: Status
Power: ---
PP: 10
Accuracy: ---
Effect: Boosts Attack, Special Attack and Speed of Poison Pokémon while harshly lowering the Accuracy of non-Poison type Pokémon. Any Pokémon brought in battle while Stench is in effect, will either recieve a boost or decrease in the appropriate stats. Lasts for 5 turns.
Description: The user sprays a horrible smelling gas on the field. Poison type Pokémon seem to recieve a help boost.
Learnset: Venusaur, Gloom, Vileplume, Grimer, Muk, Koffing, Weezing, Bellossom, Swalot, Stunky, Skuntank, Trubbish, Garbodor, Amoonguss
Doesn't make contact.

Freezing (I suck at names)

Freeze the opponents Pokemon.

move name: Utter Obliteration
type: Normal
category: physical
power: 250
PP: 10
accuracy: 85
effect: may cause confusion. High crit ratio.
description: Just annihilate any opponent that is foolish enough to challenge you.
Learnset: Machamp, Haxorus, Dragonite, Gyarados, Charizard, Regigigas, Mewtwo

I know a thread like this exists somewhere, but I can't find it and I'm fairly sure it was old as balls, so I see no problem with starting fresh.

Anyway, here's my idea.

Cat Reflexes
Type: Normal
Category: Status
PP: 20 (32)
Accuracy: -
The user stretches lithely to hone its reflexes. Raises Attack, Speed and critical hit ratio (Crit ratio is only raised once, successive uses only raise Attack and Speed).
Distribution: Meowth, Persian, Sneasel, Weavile, Skitty, Delcatty, Shinx, Luxio, Luxray, Glameow, Purugly, Purrloin, Liepard, Litleo, Pyroar, Espurr, Meowstic

Much the way Quiver Dance was introduced to improve the many underwhelming butterfly and moth Pokemon, this move is here because Game Freak keeps making cat Pokemon terrible. The crit boost goes well with the tendency for cat Pokemon to have lots of high crit moves, giving many of the weaker ones a credible damage output.

How about Absolute 0 for the name?

Absolute Zero instead maybe. Is that too long?

How about Absolute 0 for the name?

That's already the Japanese name for Sheer Cold, though I suppose there's no move with that name in English.

I personally never want to see an instant freeze move, it's just too powerful a status to be throwing around, and there is absolutely no way to turn the status to your advantage like with sleep.

Name: Siren Song.
Type: Normal.
Category: Status.
Effect: Halves Attack and Special Attack of all opponent Pokemon if they are the opposite gender of the user. Also has a 50% chance of causing infatuation.
Description: The user sings a beautiful and aluring song that weakens and entices their opponents if they are of the opposite gender.
Learnset: Jynx, Lapras, Altaria, Milotic, Swanna.

Don't ask me to come up with other information for it. Calculating that stuff is beyond me atm.

Move: Hype-Up
Type: Fighting | Status
PP: 5.
Damage: --.
Secondary Effect: Paralysis (of user).
Accuracy: --.

Description: "[Pokemon Name] worked itself up into a frenzy!"
For 3 turns the power of the Pokemon's Attack, Special Attack and Speed stats are doubled. After the 3 turns, the Pokemon using Hype-Up becomes paralysed.

In Game Effects: A 'Hyped' Pokemon has a red aura around it, whilst colour palette of their attack moves are replaced with a red overtone.

Move: Solar Pulse
Type: Grass | Special
PP: 15.
Damage: 100.
Secondary Effect: Has a 30% chance of sharply lowering the foe's accuracy stats.
Accuracy: 100% (Can only be used in strong sunlight).

Description: "The field is overtaken by light!"
A Pokemon using Solar Pulse will have either Drought or Sunny Day in play. Once in strong sunlight, Solar Pulse hits without exception. If these initial conditions are not met, the Solar Pulse will fail.

In Game Effects: A powerful surge of yellow light radiates out from the Pokemon using Solar Pulse, whiting out everything temporarily. The screen then dramatically turns black, as the yellow light blinding the screen collapses into the foe's Pokemon, shuddering the foe Pokemon's image.

Actually, an instant freeze move would help promote Ice types, and will give Dragons a real challenge (all of the Fairy Pokémon suck, and Fairy has no good moves). But yeah, we should give it 15 PP and 90% accuracy to prevent it from being too ridiculous.

Freezing (I suck at names)

Freeze the opponents Pokemon.

How about Absolute 0 for the name?

Absolute Zero instead maybe. Is that too long?

Yes, it is. There is a 12 letter character limit for moves. That's why we have DynamicPunch and not Dynamic Punch.

Move name: Spook
Type: Ghost-Physical
Power: 85
Accuracy: 100%
Move description: The Pokémon scares its opponent. This move is super effective against Normal Types.
Learnset (in no particular order): Gastly, Haunter, Gengar, Misdreavus, Mismagius, Murkrow, Honchkrow, Spiritomb, Sableye, Beldum, Metang, Metagross, Pineco, Sudowoodo, Mr. Mime, Jynx, Abra, Kadabra, Alakazam, Gothita, Gothorita, Gothitelle, Duskull, Dusclops, Dusknoir, Wobbuffet, Litwick, Lampent, Chandelure, Frillish, Jellicent, Psyduck, Snorlax, Eevee, Golett, Golurk, Giratina, Trevant, Pumpkaboo, Gourgeist, Yamask, Cofagrigus, Froslass, Sneasel, Weavile, Greninja, Noctowl, Drifloon, Drifblim, Elgyem, Beheeyem, Shuppet, Banette, Ralts, Kirlia, Gardevoir, Gallade

With Foresight and Odor Sleuth, Normal moves can hit Ghost types so why not make a Ghost move that can hit Normal types? I gave this move to anything that can pop out of thin air and surprise you (a lot of Ghost, Psychic, and Dark types, along with some that blend in with their environment (Pineco, Sudowoodo, etc.)).
