It was one of the newest games that had come out. It had been everywhere; all over the news, advertised on various websites, etc. After virtual reality had reached a new level of advancement, people began to go full throttle with the creation of games for it.
One of those games was the extremely overwhelming success, Crimson. Set in a world handcrafted almost entirely for the players to toy around in, the game achieved its status due to its very open environment and near limitless possibilities of gameplay. Many, many players flocked to the game. What began as experimentation became a method of escape soon after, with the robust world serving as almost a second life for them.
Now, in the age of the biggest update which allowed for the cultivation of new abilities, the game received a surge of new-blood playing it. The game was open to anyone willing to dive in and learn the ways of Crimson.

This is Crimson. It's an MMORPG, that has elements befitting any type of playstyle. In particular, the game has a system entirely dedicated to self-growth and player interaction; all weapons are created by players, and every stat is raised by the player investing time in practicing that skill. Every player starts off as a blank slate, and they grow over time. Abilities, both passive and active, are created by players and moderated.
All-in-all, the players are the ones who shape the game. Many of them organize themselves into Guilds, Coalitions or Armies. What they do affects the world. This is the nature of Crimson.
Rules
- BMGf rules always apply.
- No godmodding, tennising, bunnying, or metagaming.
- Your character can either have just started, or have the equivalent of about three months of experience. This means that your character is either brand-new and totally weak, or only average in terms of general prowess.
- If your sign-up is blatantly horrible, you will be rejected. Otherwise, you will simply be asked to edit it.
- The GM's word is law, and the Moderator's law is even higher. If one of these two tell you to do something, please don't make a fuss.
Banned Abilities
- Invincibility, invulnerability, or transcendence.
- Perfect illusions.
- Time, space, and matter destruction.
- Power-sapping and copying.
Setting Details
- Magic and advanced technology exist in tandem. Your character can be a mage with a gun or an engineer with magical abilities.
- All player avatars are human or mostly human. Undead, catgirls (if you're into that), elves, and things that are mostly human-like fall under this. No orcs and stuff.
- Everything is player-made; weapons, abilities, gadgetry, alliances, etc. Players have even taken to mending the world's environment with highly complex in-game construction tools. If the player has the skill to do it, they can contribute to other players by building weaponry.
- Enemies and locations are ranged by levels of danger; it goes from 1 - 20; 1 being the weakest levels, while 20 is the highest and most dangerous.
- All players are teleported into the world via digitization. They come out at the place that they ported in from.

Her in-game avatar is that of a woman with a short, sleeveless top and shorts. She has white hair that is typically put back into a ponytail. While her eyes are normally covered by futuristic shades, she has emerald green eyes. Her body is toned from physical training.
On the outside, she is a girl with black hair, brown eyes, and brown skin. She typically wears t-shirts and jeans whenever she goes out, but is no stranger to dressing up nicely for important occasions.
Personality
Nyx is usually very calm and cordial, albeit quite fierce in battle. She isn't entirely stubborn, but is unwilling to easily accept new playstyles unless the situation calls for it. She feels that she is a capable leader, which may or may not be debatable.
Abilities
Psychokinetic abilities. While only in the beginning stages of her abilities, Nyx is able to use her abilities as a method of limited mind control, concussive blasts, and telekinesis.
Skills
Nyx is a naturally talented fighter. Very skilled in CQC, she is capable of using staves and polearms with a good amount of skill, as well as utilize various martial arts. She is acrobatic, having trained her physical strength and agility. In conjunction with these, she has displayed a very intuitive situation awareness.
Equipment
Nyx's equipment include her cornerstone - an extremely sturdy bo staff that is engineered for very heavy concussive hits and ease of use, as well as two machine pistols that hold a large amount of ammo. Her equipment is sparse since she just recently joined, with the bo staff being her best asset since she was gifted it by another player.
