'TITLE UPDATE, VERSION 10 - DevStream Incoming In 30 Minutes'

Those were the words on the various TV screens inside of the player nexus point. It, like all of its similar locations, was decorated with various couches, in-game luxuries like food and drink, vendors that took advantage of the safe and player frequency to sell their products on the street away from their shops, and over a dozen TV screens. The one in the very front of the room was very large, much like a movie screen.

It was also worth noting that, while inside of the room, players could not deal or take damage of any kind. All weapons were programmed to be unusable until one exited the safe zone. Because of this atmosphere, it was arguably the most 'peaceful' place in the dangerous game of Crimson.

This lobby was not as populated as others, but it was still quite full with players waiting for the stream to begin. Nyx sat on a couch, sunglasses on her face, legs crossed as she drank from a cup of juice. Her staff was collapsed on her back, with her pistols on her sides in their holsters. Of course they couldn't be used, but they looked good on her.

Looking to the TV screen, she sighed. "Still 30 minutes left? Goddamn." She muttered to herself.

(Have your characters mingling [or not] inside of the lobby. Talk to each other [or not] and I'll post up more for you guys to work with as you enter. For now, you know the drill.)

Phoenix entered the room, looking around for a place to sit, hood obscuring his face. He found a place by Nyx, but of course he wasn't the kind to sit down without asking. Not only because he was a bit nervous having played the game for only a week, but also becaise that's how he was raised. To him it was manners. "Mind if I sit here?" He asked her surprisingly without showing his nervousness.

Nyx turned to Phoenix when he spoke. "Huh? Yeah, sure whatever," she said, taking another drink from her cup of juice before looking back to the crowds.

Hellhound-kun sat by herself in the lobby, her dark olive-colored jacket shadowing her face. Listening to music to pass the time, she shot a glare at most people who tried approaching her. Most would be freaked out by her heterochromatic eyes; one was iridescent, while the other kept changing shades of black, grey, and white. After a while, she eventually decided to ignore everyone and get lost in her thoughts.

He flinched at the words, put off by the choice. So he probably annoyed her, at least that was how he felt. He sighed, sitting down and pulling out his brush and scroll. It wouldn't summon anything in there, but he could draw for a bit at least. So he began drawing. His drawing was a girl under a tree resting with a book in her lap and a dog laying nearby.

Tom walked into the room, sighing when he saw the message on the monitor. He'd assumed that he'd wasted enough time to make it for the start, but for once, he'd arrived early. Leaning back against one of the walls, he decided to pass the time by observing those around him. There had to be at least one person there whose ability he could determine, or at the very least, attempt to speculate. As the room continued to fill up, his eyes wandered, no one in particular catching his attention just yet.

Nyx looked over, trying to find anything to occupy her attention. She found it with Phoenix's sketch. "Huh? Oh, that's nice," she remarked.

She took another drink before speaking again. "The shadows on the sides are a little off, I think," she pointed out to Phoenix.

"It's an effect of using the paintbrush. I need to get an actual pad and pencil. My shading is never off then," he told her. The ink tended to run wrong or not work well so it was always a pain to do things like shadows.

"Geez why does it have to take so freaking long," Haze groaned as he walked into the Nexus point, seeing the announcement for the stream and groaning yet again before he began to try and find a place to sit down in. "It really puts a damper on my day right now, tests are even coming up," he muttered in annoyance before looking around, spotting Nyx sitting with another guy. "Ooooh well if it isn't Nyx, fancy seeing you here," he pointed out with slight conceit as he walked over towards her. "You being forced to call off your businesses too?"

Phoenix looked up at the new voice, assuming he was talking to him for two reasons. 1) Nix was his real life name. 2) Nix was a nickname of Phoenix, or well shortening of it. Yet he didn't know this man. "What?" he asked dumbfounded and confused.

Hawk chuckled at Haze's remark. "I need to check my garden man." He said with a frown. "Been working on some new potions and some new cooking ingredients. Gonna make some real good shit." He drawled, smiling at Nyx. "Some real good shit, first round on the house." He promised.

"Maybe later after I get some questing done," Haze pointed out with a shrug and a smile towards Hawk before looking at Nix, making sure to check his username for a moment before smirking. "Her name sounds like yours, but it's actually spelled with a Y. Sorry for the confusion" he stated.

Hellhound-kun watched the ordeal from afar, lightly shaking her head. She crossed her arms, leaning with her back to the wall as she studied the gathering players around.

BloodSatan, like the others, had come to watch the stream with his guildmates. Ever since BloodJesus had died, he'd just not been able to enjoy things as much. He was on the one hand grateful for something to distract him from his loss. On the other, in the back of his mind, he wondered whether or not it was entirely respectful. Only if he didn't distract himself. Like right now, how he was getting food for himself and his guild leader, Haze. He spotted his fellow player talking with a pair of white-haired girls. One of them, with darker skin, seemed friendly enough and a little familiar. The other looked to be an albino, and she was being rude to his blss. He bit his tongue, though. He simply wasn't the type for conflict.

"Ah, here, Haze, I got some candy." He said, handing him a box of candy. He himself had gotten some cheese pizza. One of the benefits of being in-game: No counting calories. In the real world, he watched what he ate very carefully. One could tell from his avatar: He wore a blue track-jacket with red trim over a black tank-top bearing Team Gurren's logo. It clung to his chest, showing that, while not athletic, he wasn't completely unfit. And unlike a lot of players, his avatar was very close to his real body. Well, aside from the two small red horns jutting from out of his black hair. Or the spade tail coming out of his jeans. Or the tiny wings which twitched ever-so-slightly. But other than that, he looked more or less like he did in real life.

"Sorry," Haze said, bowing his head in apology before sitting down next to Nyx. That's when he noticed BloodSatan walking up to him...causing him to facepalm himself mentally upon saying the name in his head. "Hey blood...thanks man," he stated simply as he grabbed the candy. 'Didn't think I'll see you here."

Hilda had just logged on, appearing in the lobby area, though instead of waiting for the thing to become open, she decided to go through some warmup exercises, specifically doing some crunches. "4... 5... 6... 7... 8..." She counted as she went through her crunches. Once she was satisfied, she flipped over, and began doing one-arm push-ups. "1... 2... 3... 4..." She counted as she continued working on her exercises

Waiting is one of the things that Sunny was good at doing. Sure, he could grind for a few levels while waiting but that's too much of a chore. Besides, Sunny has more of a supportive role in a party. He is a mage-knight, meaning his job is to buff the party, heal any status ailments, while occasionally attack and cast magic, so it doesn't really matter if he was a little underleveled.

The mage-knight in golden armor opened the game menu and checked his friend list. None of them was online. He sighed and scratched the back of his neck. It's about time he find himself a nice guild with active players to help him grind for levels.
