Chapter One
“Cover me!” Netto yelled out as he dived to the side to avoid an attack that came from a near by metool.
Laika jumped out and took aim with his sniper and caught the virus just as Netto managed to get to the navi that was controlling all of the other viruses. It blinked and backed up as Netto advanced. “Finally,” the brunette breathed, his mind racing to the hot bath he was going to take when he got home.
Deep in the net a small lump of data appeared and materialized. As it formed it came to its senses in a jolt and a few seconds later it gave into blind panic as it vainly tried to figure out where it was. “Poly?” it called out in a lonely voice, trying to understand what was going on. “POLY?”
While it panicked a forced scan came out and in its subconscious it could feel a small pin prick of an extra dimensional area that was connected to the internet. In its panic it didn’t even stop to consider where it was, it just wanted to get back to its home and feel safe again.
Before Netto could bring his sword down on the navi it logged out. He growled with disgust and got ready to aim his PET at the jack in port to send Rockman into the internet to catch the guy so he could go home. Only, when the dimensional area began to vanish, it didn’t do so normally. Netto felt a prickle on his subconscious that made him turn around to see what was going on. Above him the dimensional area was beginning to crumble little by little but instead of merely disappearing it began to flash with an angry red light. “What?” he gasped.
Polygon cried out as it hacked into the Dimensional Area files. The security around them was tight but it knew that unless it did something that second there was a very good chance that it would never get home. Finally, using everything it had it got into the main program and put in the coordinates for where it knew was its home. To the computers it was an alien IP address, however, it was a viable one, and slowly everything inside the Dimensional Area was taken to the IP. This included Polygon as well as Netto, Enzan, Laika, Rockman, Blues and Searchman.
“What’s going on?” Netto yelled as the Dimensional Area began to crumble around him.
Enzan looked up in time to nearly get blinded by a flash of light that came through the unnatural cracks in the dome. “I don’t know,” he said as he put a hand up to ward off the light. “Whatever it is, get ready for it.”
Netto braced himself for something catastrophic to happen but instead the entire dome of the Dimensional Area faded away to reveal a large empty area. Once the last remnants of the Dimensional had faded the three boys fell out of cross fusion. They managed to grab onto one another before the ground crumbled away and they were in some kind of large empty area.
“Where are we?” Netto asked.
“I don’t know, but don’t let go,” Laika growled, gripping Netto and Enzan’s hands tighter to make his point. “Whatever is going on, we can’t afford to get separated.”
Netto nodded and tightened his grip as well right before a blinding light appeared and swallowed all three boys up in its rays.

Polygon appeared back in its own computer and it cooed happily as it recognized it’s home IP. It felt certain amounts of alien data that must have been pulled through and with a small coo it created a data hole and let the stray matter fall into the real world where it was no longer its problem.

Satoshi stretched as the new day began. He was ready to get a move on and travel to the next region to get ready for a new tournament. Pikachu stood up and looked around nervously and Satoshi gave his pokemon a nervous look, because when Pikachu looked like that it normally meant that something wasn’t right. “Something wrong?” he asked.
“Hm?” Haruka asked sleepily as she got up. “What’s wrong?”
“Pikachu looks kind of upset,” Satoshi said softly. He walked over to his friend and put out his hand. “Are you okay?” he asked.
Pikachu looked at him then jumped up and grabbed his hat, running in the distance to force Satoshi to follow.
“Pikachu!” Satoshi yelped as he ran after his rapidly departing pokemon.
Haruka blinked and quickly got out of her sleeping bag. “What?” she asked.
Takeshi came over with a frying pan in his hand, “Something wrong?” Masato also came out of his own sleeping bag to see what all the commotion was about.
“I don’t know…” Haruka answered slowly.
Pikachu ran into the field where a young boy was lying, seemingly unconscious and ran over, egging Satoshi to hurry up by waving the hat around.
Once Satoshi saw what Pikachu was so nervous about he didn’t even need the hat signals to start running as fast as he could to where the child was laying. Quickly he knelt by the kid’s side and turned him over. After being sure that he was still breathing and that he wasn’t seriously hurt he tried to wake him up. “Hey, are you all right?”
Netto slowly opened his brown eyes and looked up to see a boy with messy black hair leaning over him. “Huh?” he murmured. Then he realized that Enzan and Laika weren’t near him. Or at the very least their PET’s weren’t on line. “Oh no!” he yelped and sat up sharply.
“Hey, calm down,” the boy said soothingly. “It’s okay. Are you all right?” he asked again.
Netto looked at him and nodded, “I’m fine,” he said slowly. “Who are you?”
Satoshi smiled and straightened up then offered his hand to the strange kid. “My name is Satoshi from Masara town. Your name?”
Netto took the offered hand and let himself get pulled up. Despite the way the older boy looked he was actually very strong. “My name is Netto, Netto Hikari.”
“Hello, Netto,” Satoshi said cheerfully. “Are you sure you’re all right?”
Netto nodded and blinked, wondering why he felt so lost. Then with a jolt he realized that his PET wasn’t on. Once he realized what was going on he re-opened his mental link with his net navi and winced as a torrent of panicked thoughts came to his mind. /NETTO-KUN!/
Satoshi watched him, “Are you sure?”
Netto laughed it off. “I’m fine I’m fine,” he assured his new friend. /Sorry Rockman,/ he apologized quickly. /I didn’t realize I actually uh…/
/Was knocked unconscious? Yeah, you were. Netto-kun, what happened?/ Rockman asked.
Netto looked around. /I have no idea,/ he replied truthfully. He pulled out his PET and turned it on as Haruka, Takeshi and Masato came over to meet up with Satoshi.
“What’s that?” Satoshi asked, pointing to the PET.
“This?” Netto asked. “It’s my PET. Personal Electronic Terminal,” he explained. “Inside of it,” he continued and he turned it on. “Is my best friend and Net Navi, Rockman.”
“Net navi?” Satoshi asked wonderingly.
“Internet Navigator,” Netto answered as he continued to bypass several security frames to get his PET to boot up quicker. Finally the screen opened and he smiled at his navi. “Rockman! I’m sorry,” he said sheepishly.
“I was worried sick!” Rockman yelled. “What happened? Why didn’t you turn your PET on?”
“I didn’t remember,” Netto said delicately.
Rockman buried his face in his hands, “Netto-kun… sometimes…”
Satoshi chuckled. “Hello, Rockman,” he said to the strange being in the PET. For all he knew it was some kind of new technology from another region.
Rockman looked over, “Hello,” he said politely. “My name is Rockman.”
“I’m Satoshi,” the black haired boy answered with zeal. “This is Takeshi,” he pointed to the oldest boy. “Haruka,” the girl, “and her little brother Masato,” he pointed to the kid in glasses. Pikachu came over and jumped onto Satoshi’s shoulder, handing back his hat and giving a happy coo in response to the pet he got in return. “And this is my partner and pokemon, Pikachu.”
“Pikachu?” Netto asked.
“Pokemon?” Rockman said at the same time as Netto.
Satoshi frowned, “You don’t know what a pokemon is?” he asked.
Netto and Rockman shook their heads. “Nope, never heard of em. Is it a hologram?”
“Huh?” Satoshi asked.
Pikachu jumped onto Netto’s head and looked down at him. Netto looked back up and realized that his theory was disproved. “You understand me?” he asked.
Pikachu nodded and jumped back to Satoshi where he settled down on his shoulder.
“How can you not know what a pokemon is?” Satoshi asked wonderingly.
Netto opened his mouth to explain what happened but then he felt two pricks on his subconscious which he recognized as Blues’ and Searchman’s PETs. With a yell he turned around to see Enzan and Laika walking up towards him. “Hey!” he yelled and ran towards his friends. He jumped onto them and gave them a double armed hug then leaned back. “You’re all right,” he said happily.
Enzan and Laika tried not to let the obvious relief show on their faces. “I thought I told you to not let go,” Laika said softly.
Netto rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. “Sorry,” he laughed. “Oh by the way, this is Satoshi, Takeshi, Haruka and Masato, and that,” he said pointing to Pikachu, “Is a pokemon.”
“Pokemon?” Enzan and Laika asked.
Blues and Searchman chose then to appear on Enzan and Laika’s shoulders as holograms. “What’s going on?” Blues asked Rockman.
Rockman scanned a few IP addresses in the area and realized that they were all unheard of on their own planet, let alone region. “I don’t think… we’re even on earth anymore,” he muttered.
“What?” Netto gasped.
Satoshi heard this and his face adopted a confused, yet serious look. “Maybe you should explain to us just what happened.”
Netto looked back and nodded. First he explain all about their society, then about what they did and then, with Rockman’s help, he recounted what had happened. “And that’s where we’re at,” he concluded.
Satoshi crossed his arms. “Well, I don’t know how to help you. I’m not even sure how you got here but at the very least you can travel with us for awhile. See if you can’t find any clues to help you get home, you know?”
Netto looked happy. “Really? Will we see anymore pokemon?”
Satoshi laughed, “Trust me. You’ll see a ton of pokemon.”
“Awesome!” Netto cheered.
“Do you ever get upset?” Laika asked him softly.
Netto smiled sheepishly. “I think they’re cool, and to answer your question, no,” he murmured back. “Maybe with a bit of luck we can find a way out of here.”
Enzan and Laika nodded their agreement and together they followed their new friends down the road.
