Crunchyroll at the beginning of the year went completely legal (and I think I did a post on that back when it happened), and had started working with many anime companies to bring anime to their site. Through the "anime membership," you can pay a decent price per month (or per three-months, or yearly) to enjoy what you want on their site and to see shows that they are currently carrying just an hour after they are broadcasted in Japan, as well as access content in resolutions up to HD 720 when available.

Currently Crunchyroll is revealing their list of shows airing this fall (some of which have already been airing but they just were able to grab). Some shows are available all around the world (except Japan, where it is easily seen through television broadcasts), though a lot are unfortunately limited to a few countries (usually the United States is included though). So far one series (Fairy Tail) will only be available to paying members, They have one more title to reveal in the next few days, but here is the list as it currently stands, and I will be adding the rest to the list as they are announced. Hopefully some titles that we all were interested in will be showing this fall!

Tegami Bachi: Letter Bee
Asura Cryin
NATSU NO ARASHI! (they had carried the first 13 episodes, and are now showing the new season)
Sora No Otoshimono
The Book of Bantorra
Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu
Miracle Train
Fairy Tail
Sasameki Koto
Shugo Chara! Party!
11eyes
Shin Koihime Musō
White Album

As I had stated at the start of the year, I decided to actually sign up for the Anime Membership service because I felt that it might be interesting to see if people contributing to this site would actually bring more titles to Crunchyroll as time progressed, and I am happy to say that I still have my membership and I feel that things are looking up for the 'roll.

Current and fall lineup can be viewed here: http://www.crunchyroll.com/lineup

Tried watching Shippuuden on there once, got a nasty 'not avaliable in your country' message. :-(

I get the same messages on Viz, Hulu, Joost etc and its driving me batshit mad. Just writing this post has pissed me off.

Sorry if this post has pissed you off... the main reason I like to bring up Crunchyroll is to inform people that there are business models being put in place that will hopefully bring decent anime to the rest of the world outside of Japan in a legal guilt-free way.

p.s. maybe the world of proxies are calling your name... that might help ya perhaps.

I would like to see Crunchy release more series that have already been completed in Japan. There are some really good series out there.

Fairy Tale looks pretty good. Isnt it from the creators of One Piece?

You can find some interesting stuff... Toei for example doesn't have a lot, but they have some very old classic series up.

Honestly, I really don't know anything about this series except that after hearing about it I know that I will be watching a few eps at least... but yeah, the first thing I thought was "this looks totally like One Piece, I'm totally checking this out!"

I believe it's available worldwide now.

They seem to have gotten rid of the ability to see which countries a series is available in, or view available series by country, though. Boo (or have they just hid it? Where can I find this, if it's there?)

No Sangoku Engi, though. Lame. Only series this fall I'm actually interested in.

Fairy Tail has nothing to do with One Piece other than the artist thinking "hey, One Piece is popular, let me draw a series with similiar art". Same with Rave.

I know they have some older series. I watched Galaxy Express 999 and have checked out PreCure. However, they all seem to be things that already have official subs made by someone else. Though, it could be an issue with licensing.

What makes me sad is that Toei hasn't put up Dr. Slump. That's one of the things I was really expecting to see when they started putting up all those old series, but they they kinda just stopped putting up stuff. :(

It could be licensing issues, but I'd think that they would be able to do whatever they want with their content if it's not currently released in the set of countries that they give their okay for viewing.

Crunchyroll doesn't load for me when I use a proxy, and Joost, Viz and Hulu all see through it (I get a 'you are using a proxy, please disable it' message). Don't be sorry for annoying me its just so frustrating and then for me to watch Naruto legally I have to spend premium for the DVD. I'm not one to download off the internet but it can get pretty tempting.

Edit: Adament, wow yeah just tried Crunchyroll again. Looks like its avaliable in my country now... it wasn't a month ago. :)

While I admire the fact that crunchyroll is part of the anime industry's attempt to find a good business model, the membership aspect took out one way of me from watching anime. Oh well still the fact that it releases anime an hour after is a good service.

Ooohhh Letter BEE.

The one character with red hair does remind me of Luffy.

It's also a shonen action series and apparently the manga is already very popular. Fairy Tail has definately caught my interest the most out of that list.
