Crystal Remake

Think about it. We had remakes of of the 1st gen games: Firered and Leafgreen. We had remakes of the second gen games games Gold and Silver. But where is Crystal? Crystal was always my favorite out of all of the three games, and having a remake of it would be amazing. I hope they haven't forgotten about it, because all the games have been updated to Gameboy Advance at least, and then, after remaking Gold and Silver, they made Black and White. I also heard that they are making the Pokemon Platinum of fifth gen, so I hope Crystal doesn't get left behind. Do any of you know anything about a Crystal remake?
 
Crystal was the third instalment to generation II. They didn't remake Blue/Yellow and I'm damn sure they won't remake Emerald.

Why would they remake it when they remade Gold and Silver? Just because it's your favourite doesn't mean it needs to be remade.
 
They took the elements from Crystal and put them in HGSS. There's no need for a Crystal remake.

This. Literally, everything that was unique to Crystal out of the the two games was put in HGSS in some fashion.
 
There is no need for a Crystal remake, as Purim said everything from Crystal was put into HGSS. If we should have our heart set on a remake it should be the Hoenn remakes.
 
HGSS is pretty much crystal without Kris. Same with FRLG, it has some blue/yellow elements and references. Just look at the ending, it's a big RGBY reference with the exact same poses as on the JP Boxarts:

There will be no 3rd version remakes ever. Sorry Kris and Yellow fans.
 
Everything said. And Gamefreak knows they can't remake the best game in the series without messing everything up,so they merged it with G/S remakes.
 
As others have said, elements from Crystal, such as Eusine, Suicune and the location of the Battle Tower (and in HGSS, the rest of the Frontier) were put into HGSS. Also, they didn't remake Blue or Yellow.

As for the "Platinum of fifth generation", of course they're going to make that - however, it's also the "Crystal of fifth generation" just as Platinum was the "Crystal of fourth generation" and Crystal was the "Yellow of the second generation".
 
Interesting that you don't complain about Yellow not being remade. As others have said, the greatest concepts of Crystal were incorporated into HgSs so there's no need to remake it. Just like they won't remake Emerald this gen and like they won't remake Platinum next gen or the gen after.
 
Yep, HG/SS basically ARE the Crystal remakes. Besides, what would they call it, Pokemon Crustle Version? (forgive me if the joke makes no sense DX)
