Is Vincent a fling? Or would that be Jimmy? Who is Marina's true novio?

Vinny's love for Marina is pretty obvious.Eyes that say "Will you be my girlfriend",
Dressing up like Lance,interrupting every romantic moment between Jimmy and Marina, etc. . And when Marina accidently got taken away,he freaked out,running around and screaming "Where is Marina!!!!".I'm telling you, he's head over heels in love.And what about that part when Marina was tied up and Hun said "Relax, Prince Valiant, your little girlfriend's right here." Neither one of them objected! Now if that isn't hidden desire,what is it?And Marina called him 'sweetie-pie'.Seriosly,calling a perfect stranger 'sweetie-pie'? And then she fell on him and dislocated his spine,but he just grinned and said he'd always be there to 'cushion the landing'.And there you have it folks,Cushionshipping.
 
Yes, I caught on to this ship as well. Fancy that!
 
They aren't strangers. All three began their journeys in New Bark Town at the same time.

It's supposed to be obvious that Vincent loves Marina. ("She's my girlfriend. Or at least she's going to be.") But QuestShipping seems to be the way the writers were going which, while perfectly clear in the original, was emphasised further in the 4Kids dub.
 
Take into account that the dub doesnt do direct translations from the original show and that, that was probably put in there. If not, its obviously a Jimmy and Marina ship. Vincent is kinda dorky and one of those people that girls dont like.
 
Maybe,but I'm sure she has some feelings for Vincent,....a little.
 
She seems to humour Vincent while she is much more openly flirtatious with Jimmy, (though the Pokémon Center scene was one of the most edited so I'm not sure if it was quite the same in the original.)
 
Didn't Jackson mention Marina in the Japanese version of the Johto league episode he was in? I know 4kids edited those lines for the english dub...
 
He mentioned both of them three times but only one vaguely resembled the dub line. That's why some people are conviced that their dub names were 100% intended to be Dani and Yoshi.
 
I watched the sub version and Jun'ichi(Vincent) mentioned that he was going to make Marina his girlfriend and he told Kenta to keep his hands off of her. I never thought he would actually say something like that out loud. And he said all this rather loudly and Marina was standing a few feet away and she acted like she hadn't heard a word. Weird.
 
They have many dub names =.= and now I don't remember them all. I just call them Juni'chi, Marina and Kenta. Easy to remember^^

My opinion is........ nop. Juni'chi and Marina aren;'t lovers because Marina and Kenta like each other. Juni'chi probably has a small crush on Marina but Marina likes Juni'chi only as a good friend.

Kenta = Jimmy
Marina = Marina
Junichi = Vincent, and Jackson at the Silver Conference.

It's not that hard. (I don't have any problems with you using the Japanese names, but it isn't as though they have 50 names or something.)

You don't get more canon than "She's my girlfriend... or at least, she's going to be." Vincent clearly has a crush which is shown in both The Legend of Thunder and Tie One On. Marina is obviously showing more of an attraction towards Jimmy but that only furthers this ship by Vincent's reactions to it.

Romance novels have conflicting attractions all the time, it's just that the Pokémon writers usually tend to be wary of conflicting ships.
 
Okay,okay,I surrender,Jimmy is Marina's true novio. I gave it some thought and decided that you guys are right. Maybe Vincent/Jackson just likes Marina,or maybe he likes girls. Man,I suck at pairings.
