I am really sorry if this has been asked before, but does anyone know if anything has been said about making the next gen more fluid? For example when you're at the PKMN center, and you have to go through so much dialog to get your pokemon healed. Same goes for a number of other stuff. It gets really annoying after a time..

It's ok the first time, just to introduce the players to the different features, but they don't have to make you go through it all each time. Also mentioning the Pokemon league. Why do you have to go through all that jaz everytime? I see how it like a big thing the first time you beat the league, and maybe the second when the E4 have upgraded but after that its just stupid.

Another notice is the box-system. It got improved a lot for the 3rd gen, but I still use A LOT of time switching pokemon, so there must be some ways to make this easier!

And so on.. Any thoughts?

(Again, sorry if this is a repeat-topic, or don't belong here!)

The Pokemon Center thing is going to stay the same, The PC may be easier to navigate, and the E4 could use an upgrade especially when they are challenged the 65th time and say, "You have come so far, I have been looking forward to this battle, I have heard so much and now I finally get to beat you!!!!!!!"

I mean really. I'm looking at you Flint, especially.

All NPCs in Pokemon have goldfish-memory!

More "Fluid"? To be honest, if having to press A an extra 3 or so times is so much of a bother for you, then you obviously have better things to do than play Pokémon...doesn't even take 5 seconds.

Money + Experience Points = Not Stupid
Do you want the Elite 4 to just disappear once you've beaten them twice?

HeartGold/SoulSilver's touch screen controls made it a bit quicker, but they could re-introduce the multiple-grabber from Emerald, DPt.

When it's like that for everything it becomes a minor annoyance. And just because it's not a big problem doesn't mean it should not be improved!

No, thats not what I'm saying. Just cut alle the "Wow, how did you rach so far"-jazz and the "hall of fame->going back to startmenu" nonsense when I'm beating them for the 10th time.

The navgation in the box is good enough, but I'm thinking some new feature to make a lot of tasks easier. Like, for excample a Non-battle team. Say that you can carry 26 or 16 pokemon, but only the normal 6 are available for battle. The others are like a portable box. This would help a lot!

Field-moves could be used of these pokemon, this way you won't need to switch out your team for the lousy slaves. Also if you need a certain pokemon for a small task you wont have to rearange your whole team just for that.

With some work I think this could be a very welcomed feature!

Not really an annoyance at all. Although they could at least replace the dialogue with talking about a rematch, I guess.

A portable box? That would defeat the point of having a box. 6 Pokémon has always been the standard, they don't need to change it. Besides, Isshu looks like it's going to be a pretty small region.

Or give external items. Like for cut - give you some hedge clippers. For rock climb, give you special gloves.

Not having to be noticed every turn about the weather effects (which seems likely) and the pokécenter girl shutting up would be enough.

Yeah, that REALLY needs to be done. Probably unlikely, but maybe if you taught a Pokemon a HM, instead of it being a battle move it's like an outside battle-only thing. Like, you can teach Charmander to cut, but cut is an extra ability instead of a move. Does that make sense?

I really like HM-item idea! There should also be be items for other fieldmoves like Flash and Dig!

And, when you want to cut down a lousy tree, you just cut it with one press on the a-button. No need to confirm that you REALLY want to murder this innocent tree every damn time! Same goes for Rocksmash, strenght and flash/defog. As long as there is a pokemon/iten that can do said fieldmove, just make it automatic. Waterfalls and rocky ledges should just be climbable by walking towards them as long as you have the needed move/item! -_-

Idea for items:
Cut: Wood Axe.
Flash: Flashlight.
Surf: Inflatable boat.
Fly: Hm.. Should maybe be replaced by telefort. Hard to be given an item for flying.. xp
Teleport (Replacing Fly): Some teleportation device?!
Whirpool: Some kind of item that steadies your inflatable boat?!
Waterfall: A stronger engine for your inflatable boat?!
Rock Smash: Sledgehammer.
Defog: Ehm.. Some sort of crystal or something far-fetched that lights up and clears the fog?
Rock Climb: Climbing Axe or whatever it's called!
Dig: A spade!
Headbutt: Like Thick Boot or something? Or you could use the Sledgehammer for Rocksmash!

The rest like softboiled and Sweet scent better be kept as fieldmoves..

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. Except maybe Fly could be a jetpack. Rock Climb could be "Hiking Gear". Headbutt could be a hard hat.

Fly and Surf could be balloons and a surfboard, if Pikachu is anything to go by.

But yes, these items would definitely come in handy - then we wouldn't even need HM's anymore, and Cut, Fly, Surf, etc. would just become regular TM's. *shot*

And what about Strength? What would that entail - hydraulic arms?

@ Tuber Bakke: Defog would be a... defogging machine. They do exist.

While we're on the subject of cutting time, it would be nice if GF did what Capcom did the with Megaman Battle Network games, and allow players to hold B to auto-skip dialogue.

Well for the portable box idea a Game I played you could have 3 substitutes on your team, You can't switch theam while in the middle of a battle but you can switch your tem around when one gets hurt.

So you mean, you can only switch them around when outside of battle?

Isn't that kind of what boxes are for, anyway? Or would it only be useful against the Elite Four?

Yes it does and I am not just targeting you. But believe me I hate HMS as much as the next guy, especially Surf on my Water Starter, but HMS need to be in the game to annoy you. I mean, its not like we can't Surf without Surf, every water Pokemon or medium-large mammal pokemon can essentially swim. Without HMs, Pokemon would be too easy during the playthrough.

To switch the battelers with the rest you'd have to go to a pkmn center etc. Otherwise E4 woyuld be to easy. But it would save a lot of time inmany different situations!

... what you just described are the regular boxes.

That could be why they have a weather indicator.

Idea for items:
Flash: Flashlight.

You already have a flashlight, it shows just like what's 3 spaces in front of you. Flash makes the whole cave illuminate.

Night Vision goggles then.

We had Go Goggles for the desert in R/S/E, so why not?

All the goggles did was to keep sand from going in your eyes. They weren't that high tech. Then again, you do have the Silph. and Devon scope.
