2052, the Golden Age of Humanity, we have reached out past the stars, by 2071, 108 planets have been colonized by humans. The original seven are known as the "heartworlds" were turned into booming metropoli within the blink of a figurative eye.The first was Tenumbra, the mysterious Septium Corporation had played a major role in constructing the massive Scrapes, building that reached out past the planet's atmosphere. One week later, the governor of Tenumbra was assassinated, and soon, the executives of the Septium Corporation took over. They hired anarchist gangs to sow fear amongst the populace who questioned their rule. They then sealed the planet off from FTL beacons and threatened to spread their ways to other planets if any military forces were sent.

Life on Tenumbra went from relatively good to terrible soon after the Corporation took over. The officials were highly corrupt, living in luxury apartments in the "Overworld" of Tenumbra, while a majority of the populace lived in squalor. The quality of life decreased as one descended the Rungs of the Scrape, bridges connecting the buildings together. at the bottom is the Underbelly, is a totally different world, a place where the sun never shines, order is a long forgotten word, and it is a stretch to call those who inhabit this place people, due to the toxic waste dumped here by the Corporation. Rouge artificial humanoids, or A-noids ran rampant around the Rungs and Scrapes. The Septium Corporation were able to sell their illegal narcotics to the populace without fear of the law retaliating, quickly getting nearly the enitre populace addicted quickly.

The advent of nanotechnology and human augmentation involving it brought by the Septium Corporation has caused the death of thousands, either from shady augmentation procedure, or fighting for the proper materials to repair and maintain the augs. Though those who survive with the augs have an advantage in the playing field of Tenumbra, with the nanites building artificial limbs, weapons built directly into the user's body, and nanomachines enhancing existing limbs.

Augs:

Type I: Your basic augs, no visible outer change in appearance, it motivates the muscles of the user to work harder, allowing the user to be somewhat faster or stronger.

Type II: Artificial limbs, may or may not contain additional surprises

Type III: Neural implants designed to enhanced one's senses, or additional memory, or even a link to a database.

Type IV: Weapons that are powered and mounted in the user's body, it can include assault rifle, SMG, pistol, and magnum calibers, or even blades.

A-Noids

Alpha-class: Your usual A-noid, designed for repair, construction, or other heavy manual tasks.

Beta-class: Human-like constructs designed for diplomacy or espionage.

Gamma-class: Combat A-noids, can be used various combat specializations.

Name: His serial number is EN-12523. However, he decided to take the number Eliot Nadel.

Race/Species: A-Noid. He is a prototype recon A-Noid, designed to both appear human and be able to converse with humanoids and learn about them and their ideals for the purposes of recon, and be able to assassinate key people if need be.

Age: 6 months.

Date of Birth: January 2071

Height: 6'0

Weight: 312 pounds

Appearance: Ein was built to look human, and it was an incredible success. Looking at him, it would be almost impossible to tell he was a machine. He has peach-colored skin, with a mole on his left cheek, and hazel eyes. His shaggy hair is black, and would reach down to his shoulders, were it not kept in check by a red baseball cap with a wrench insignia on it. He dresses mostly for utility, wearing a black, form-fitting shirt beneath a leather jacket, with tough denim jeans and strong boots on his feet. He wears a utility belt, complete with for his weapons, on his waist. Finally, he has a pair of goggles he normally wears around his neck.

Family: He technically has none, but considered the human who took him in family.

Current Residance: His "father's" old house, in the Underbelly.

Birthplace: A factory somewhere.

Augs: None.

Allegiance: The people.

Alignment: Neutral Good

Primary Weapon(s): His main weapon is the Orion, a pistol bearing the likeness of The Great Hunter on the hilt. He made it by modifying his father's plasma pistol. It shoots balls of plasma at a fairly decent rate. He keeps it in the left side of his belt.

Secondary Weapon(s):
-He carries a laser rifle, called Cygnus. He repaired it after he got a broken one from a trash can on a trip to the overworld. He engraved a swan on it's handle. Ein also added a scope, to allow it to be used for sniping. He keeps it on his back.

-A stun baton he took from a dead police officer. It can't kill, but it can knock people out, and can short circuit machines. He keeps it on the right side of his belt.

-His left eye has a laser in it. However, he can only shoot it about once before he has to recharge it.

Misc. Items: He usually carries a few extra batteries for his weapons in the belt around his waist. He is also usually never without a screwdriver, wrench, and other tools for machine repair.

Name: Shard, the only name anybody can get out of them

Race/Species: Human. A pathetic, addicted wreck of a human, but human nonetheless. Shard's gender is unknown, but often assumed to be female.

Age: Early to mid-twenties

Date of Birth: Claims to have been born on New Year's Eve, exact year unknown but thought to be around 2047-2051

Height: 5' 7"

Weight: 112 lbs.

Appearance: Shard's appearance easily identifies him/her as one of the many addicts around the Underbelly. His/her body is almost painfully thin, their pale bluish hair is unkempt and stringy, and their green eyes have an unnatural glazed look due to the drugs that he/she is hooked on. He/she makes their own clothes by stitching together any and all scraps of fabric that she finds lying around, resulting in ill-fitting rags that obscure his/her figure. He (or she) is almost always barefoot and invariably grubby. Their appearance, combined with the fact that Shard is completely off his/her rocker due to the drugs, keeps people at an uneasy distance.

Family: None, really. Whoever they were, they've long since died or abandoned Shard.

Current Residence: An abandoned aparment in the Underbelly that is far too filthy and run-down for anyone sane to consider living there. Its only truly functioning room is the kitchen, where Shard uses his/her talents of mixing their own drugs.

Birthplace: Somewhere in the Underbelly.

Augs: Shard's left arm is a Type II, with a hollow compartment in the forearm that he/she uses to store drug capsules and syringes. As it was a black-market job, it sometimes malfunctions and becomes paralyzed for short periods of time, becoming unusable.

Allegiance: Him/herself, but could be convinced to help others if promised suitable rewards, such as drugs or food.

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Primary Weapon: During one of his/her more functional phases, Shard managed to create a kind of spiked club by sticking bits of metal and glass to a length of metal pipe he/she found lying around. Shard handles it surprisingly skillfully, and getting hit with it hurts.

Secondary Weapon(s): Shard is also not above stabbing someone with a syringe if need be.

Misc. Items: Shard likes to collect pieces of paper that he/she finds lying around and is compiling them all into one big nonsense book. This makes even less sense because he/she can barely read. They also keep the kitchen stocked with tools and ingredients for mixing narcotics and sometimes food.

Name: Having forgotten her birth name, she goes by many.... Ace, Ninety-Nine, Bale.... Currently it's April Auralia working under the Septium Corporation.

Race/Species: Augmented Human.

Weight: 110 pounds.

Appearance: April resembles your typical Corporation executive. Her dark brown hair is held back in a tight bun and her dark green eyes are covered by frameless glasses. She wears a tight gray pencil skirt and jacket over a white business shirt, along with black heels.

Family: Whereabouts have been unknown since shortly after she was born.

Current Residance: A small apartment among the upper rungs of The Scrape.

Birthplace: Down in the Underbelly in a colony of Alpha class A-Noids who raised her after her parents disappeared.

Augs:

Type II: April's left arm contains a powerful gatling gun accesible by retracting her hand, while her right features three retractable blades.

Type III: April has links to various Corporation databases.

Allegiance: Currently with the Septium Corporation, although she will align with whoever will benefit her the most. This is how she managed to get where she is today.

Alignment: True Neutral.

Primary Weapon(s): April carries a silver revolver that was a remnant of her past in the Underbelly.

Secondary Weapon(s): In order to stay undercover, April only resorts to her augments when she really needs to.

Misc. Items: Tends to carry around a laptop computer for notetaking.
