Well since Diamond snow is apparantly related to certain days of the year, and the game cart works off the game's calendar, I wanted to see if anything happened during one's birthday.

Well its my Birthday today, and I checked.

Apparantly something does happen, when you go talk to your opposite gender rival...

They ask if its your birthday and says Happy Birthday

Maybe try going to Twinleaf and talking to your mom. If she says nothing about a birthday I 'll be surprised.

She didn't.

Once I finish with the SSE Cut Scenes on Youtube, I'll go visit my rival at Stark Mountain and Professor Oak, and maybe Dawn's Sister.

Also the direct quote:

Dawn: Is today maybe...
Your Birthday <name>? [yes/no]

[pick yes]
Dawn: Giggle....
Congratulations, <name>!
And many more happy returns!

[pick no]
Dawn: Oh it isn't?
I wonder what made me think that
today was your birthday?

YO MAMA FORGOT UR BIRTHDAY!

Just kidding.

But it is weird that a rival knows and your mom doesn't.

BTW, does Dawn / Lucas give you anything?

Awww so nice of your girlfriend to say Happy Birthday to you! :D
I need to wait until to June to see this but nice find either way.

Or, you know, you could change the birthday setting on the DS to see it right now instead of waiting months to see one small piece of text that's otherwise irrelevant. Or just view it on YouTube or something.

Still, with things like this running around, it makes you wonder just how much obscure stuff is in there. Someone should document it all. Taking a look at a text dump of the game couldn't hurt either.

If you're Dawn, Lucus says

Congratulations, <name>!
I'm really glad we're friends

My birthday was in January
