My Diamond game froze and I don't understand why. I turned it back on and saved it and my time was 700:59. Is there some sort of glitch that makes the game freeze after a certain time period? I'm really upset. All of my Pokemon from LeafGreen and Ruby are on there and I don't want to lose them ;_;

I don;t think after a time period of that the game will freeze, someone one here had a D/P game of over 1000 hours and it was working. Did you get any pokemon in trades that could be hacks? Something like that could make your game freeze and act unnaturally. If its not that, then I don't know

I don't have any hacked Pokemon. All the ones I Pal Park'd are the ones that I caught myself. I don't use GTS either, so it's definitely not a Pokemon.

I was walking out of the Pokemon Center in the Resort Area and it froze. The first time it happened I had just gotten my newly caught Eevee a massage and it stopped. It's really weird.

That happened to me when I was training my Darkrai on Route 227 and I walked into the house to have the lady heal my Pokémon. The Darkrai was completely legit; I got it from the TRU event.

Try cleaning the games connectors to make sure there's no dirt on them. Also test your DS on other games to make sure it isn't the DS.

My brother had a game freeze once (I think it was diddy kong racing DS)and he pulled it out and put it back in and it worked. I would suspect if the game isn't connecting with the DS connectors properly (whether it'd be dirt or something damaged or just not connecting right) the game may freeze.

Also if you have another DS you have access to somewhere like a friend's or someones then test the game in it to see if it works on the other DS.

Yeah I had a similar problem with Mario on DS. Could be the problem. Does it ever say when the games inserted that there is no game instrted in the DS? I had that alot before the game actually worked

Yes, that happened to me after the game froze. Then I took the game out and put it back in and it worked fine. I've only had the game freeze that one time.

My diamond has been the only game cart I have had problems with. While I'm playing it would sometimes randomly freeze, usually at a white screen. I realized that the cart wiggles around slightly in the DS and if you move it the wrong way it will freeze up. Also, about once out of every 10 times I turn it on, it acts like there is no game inserted and I have to reinsert it for it to be recognized.

Well, I dropped my old DS in a driveway and it didn't have many negative affects. I don't know just how to say this, but I'll give you an example: If you use the Rebattle Dialga/Palkia code, make sure Dawn/Lucas and Prof. Rowan are standing there or the game will freeze once the battle's over. I guess this means "Be careful what you hack.":mallet:

Funny, my DS froze when I was playing The World Ends With You, but never froze in my diamond, but I did drop my DS like 5 times, nothing too major, just some scratches. Perhaps it's the game cards that do it?

For this problem, I am guessing its the cartridge that has the problem, not so much the DS. When I had mario for DS, it kept failing like as I said, but o other games did. I even tried the game on two DS's, one DS worked 100% and it still had problems reading the game cartridge half the time.

Don't know if my brother had the not connecting problem. I suspect he's probably had but usually pulling in and out a few times would work.

For me personally I've had the game not inserted problem which usually results in me pulling out and putting in aswell. I'll admit I've never had a freezing problem on my launch phat DS or my DS lite though.

I have 48 DS games (yeah I spent too much money in the last few years.^-^;;;;) so I'm pretty lucky to never have freezing when you think about it.

I think another cause for the "game not inserted" problem is maybe if the game is loose enough for it to not connect then it might be more sensitive to bumping aswell though that's just a theory.

I am very gentle with my DS's after my GBA SP showed it was sensitive to bumping on old games. So I kind of got in the habit of never knocking the system. I know some games on the DS seem to have slightly different thicknesses depending on the game so it may or may not be another cause.

Any big problems I see with DS's is usually through my brother.

There's many possible causes when you think about it. Glitches and stuff can also be causes.

My Pearl game had also been freezing up quite a bit until recently. It's frozen in the middle of chaining, frozen on a white screen and froze up while I was in the Old Chateau. (That last one was truly strange; I heard a popping noise through the speakers, the music stopped and my game wouldn't respond.)

I've also gotten an error message before starting my game that says "Your game data couldn't be read. Turn off the power and reinsert the cart."
Also, about once out of every 10 times I turn it on, it acts like there is no game inserted and I have to reinsert it for it to be recognized.
I've had that happen on numerous occasions as well. Sometimes I've had to reinsert the game two or three times to get the DS to recognize it.

The truly odd thing? I've been playing Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia lately and have had zero problems. None of the above mentioned errors have happened once to my Ranger game. Maybe all the problems I was having with Pearl weren't due to my old DS fat after all.
