WARNING: DO NOT TEST THIS IN YOUR OWN GAME, OR AT LEAST MAKE A BACK-UP SAVE. YOUR SAVE FILE WILL MOST LIKELY GET CORRUPTED.

I have found a new glitch Pokemon that is not on bulbapedia. What I did was use the Pokemon Modifier code (The one in Platinum for the calculator) and typed in 999. No, this is not the white block.

blackboxpl.png

It's a black box. When you encounter it, it's level varies depending on the area and is not shiny. It has a very long animation that shows it bouncing, then it swivels to the left and right a little. When you are finally able to battle, pixels are removed from the black box.

If you try to capture it, it adds the data to the Pokedex, and then freezes.

Using Ditto and using Transform while battling the glitch causes the game to crash. It crashes again if you try to encounter it again.

It's cry is Bulbasaur's cry

If you try to catch it,it will most likely break free. When it does, it causes your Pokemon to become a black box as well.

When you leave the battle and go to anything in the menu screen with text on it, the text will be garbled, or turn into numbers.

Type: Water/Grass (Tested numerous types on it.)

So far, it knows:
Covet
Present
Dragon Rage

On top of all this, it has a very low catch rate. If you knock it's HP down, well, it's going to die from having 1 HP. It has EXP, Attack, and Special Attack.

Here is a video of the "failed capturing" glitch, Black box using Present, and the text glitch.

I will be editing this page frequently, stay tuned for more information!

Wow, this is pretty crazy.
And you intentionally go looking for this kind of thing? Put all your pokes at risk? Oh man lol.

Well, I think it's because you typed in an invalid number... I mean 497 gives you a bad egg... that's what I saw...
But... pretty weird, because when I did catch it, it crashed XD

I am currently uploading a video of some of the things it does. It is pretty bad quality, but it's better than nothing.

Glitch Pokemon created with codes do not go on Bulbapedia because they were created with codes.

Untrue. The white version is on there, which uses Action Replay to get him to appear. I may be new to the forums, but not to Bulbapedia.

Other than that, this doesn't have to be. It was just a discovery.

EDIT: Due to Youtube being stupid, I guess I won't a have a video to show. D:
EDIT 2: Nevermind, got it to work. Video's in the 1st post. It may still be processing, just give it a little while.

Oh, wow, just saw the vid.
What happened to your torterra?
You didn't save right?

I saved right. It's a glitch with this Pokemon. If you try to capture it and it fails, your Pokemon becomes a big black box as well.

Well... it's usage of an Action Replay Code, riiiight?

Yeah, so? As I said before, the white counterpart version of this glitch is on Bulbapedia, which requires an Action Replay to obtain.

I've just tested this on my Pokemon Platinum on an actual DS with ARDS, and it does work. I only used an emulator to show screenshots of it.

But still... who would be willing to use this code on an actual game card, taking into account that it might crash their game?

This is just a discovery of a glitch Pokemon, I'm not forcing people to try it.
Any more questions regarding "Oh lol this isn't real hax hax hax"? -_-

The ??? Type Arceus is also in Bulbapedia, which also requires the use of Action Replay. Why do you guys think that Bulbapedia does not use any method of cheating?

I'm sorry, I'm just getting aggravated with the comments here. Let me take a breather and calm down. I'm fine with questions, it's just that I hate having all the questions about if this qualifies or not.

Zadrave is right. It's not like by reporting Bulbapedia all of a sudden encourages any form of cheating. As he said, Bulbapedia makes note of multiple glitches (be that Pokémon or Glitch City etc)and a lot of them can only be obtained by cheating.

I'm also qualifying this as a new glitch Pokemon because is is completely different from the white one in D/P/Pl, so this does count. Thank you for that not-annoying comment, Delrihuzz.

You guys can ask me any question about this Pokemon, I will try to solve them as soon as I can.
