Darn...still on bertha...

Grass type Pokemon or a Pokemon with a decent grass type move are a must, especially as she has Quagsire and Wishcash

Robotnik, this is Platinum we're talking about. Bertha doesn't have Quagsire (and Sudowoodo) anymore; she has Rhyperior (and Gliscor) instead.

All you need is a strong Water-type that has an Ice Beam in its arsenal. I use my Vaporeon to take out her whole team.

gliscors a tough one. i suggest catching ether gyarados or tentecruel and teach them ice moves and water so then berthas screwed as lond as they are over at least lvl 55

You should use Carnivine, since it has levitate it can dodge the ground-type attacks, and the rock-type attacks aren't very effective on it. Just teach it Grass Knot, which is very effective due to Bertha's pokemon being heavy in some cases, and also you get STAB from it. Power whip is a good sub if you don't have the TM. Giga Drain for healing purposes(If you don't have the TM, just level it up till it learns ingrain though this defeats it's levitate), Bite for later on in you E4 challenge, and lastly fill this empty slot with any move you see fit.

I really hate to point out the obvious, but Carnivine takes neutral damage from Rock attacks.

Here's my strategy for Bertha.

I start out with Sceptile and use leaf-blade to kill that annoying Whiscash, switch to Floatzel and use Surf on the Gliscor (I could have just as easily used Ice Beam but.... Surf is so easily accessible being on the top of its move-list:B) and then let either one of those two deal with the rest of them:3

If Grass/water doesn't work, just level them up a whole lot XD

Yeah, that damn Gliscor of her's is the only Pokemon in the entire Elite Four that I ever had a problem dealing with. Even my super-awesome Roserade had trouble dealing with it.

I don't have any ideas, since I forced my TRU Arceus to most of the Pokemon League. XD

This. Did you start with Turtwig or Piplup by any chance? If you didn't, and don't have something like Gyarados or Roserade on you, then you're (sorta) screwed.[/QUOTE

ya im screwed.....

I started with Chimchar and have neither a Gyarados or a Roserade in my party yet I did fine:B
Had some problems with Whiscash the first round since I didn't have a grass type (I used Staraptor instead) and trained Sceptile soon after:3

Abomasnow might help you here.

STAB Grass and Ice moves mean that your hitting all (if i remember her team correctly) of her pokes for at least double damage.

Snow Warning will nulify the pernament sandstorm caused by the Hippowdon and give you a 100% accurate Blizzard to work with.

I hate to give you advice on defeating Gliscor for obvious reasons, but the best Pokémon to take it on with would be Weavile in my opinion.
Weavile can outrun and outgun Gliscor due to its stats. Give it a good physical Ice move, like Ice Punch, which will really screw Gliscor over. Weavile will be in danger of Fire Fang as well as Earthquake if Ice Punch doesn't take it out in one hit, so maybe have some Baton Passed defensive increases to be safe. Gliscor's HP stat is pretty average though. If you got another Pokémon to soften it up before that... I reckon you're onto a winner.

If all else fails... back to Victory Road for some training, I'm afraid.
