*sigh* It is with heavy heart that I must write this, after being on Cloud 9 for the past 3 days. Sadly, when I got home today, I recieved a phonecall from my boss saying that they'd discovered that my name is on Nintendo's "Banned For Life" list because of some stupid crap that happened to me working for them in 1998.
Guess there's no such thing as "second chances" after all.
*pauses for a few moments to take some cleansing breaths*
I definitely have to say that that stupid policy is the lamest I've ever known of, and that it's totally unfair to anyone inexperienced and just starting out in a job (as I'd done back in 1998...). Thanks to that assanine policy, my dream of ever achieving a decent job for the company I love most in the world, has been dashed to pieces.
I've certainly learned volumes from my actions in the past, and also a lot from the past 3 days as well. But it hurts so bad for me to learn like this...
Thanks to everyone who rooted for me and who'd thought I'd gotten fantasticly lucky. Guess my luck wasn't as great as I'd hoped for. *sigh*
And I won't lie about it: I do horribly regret what happened in 1998. I mean, I was 19 years old and utterly naive - a complete dork. But now there's nothing I can do about it and I'm stuck having to live with the shame and the pain of it all. At least now that I've gotten some major motivation to work, I can use this energy to heatedly go off in search of another job. And who knows, I might get something else just a nice (or even better!).
*gives all her friends a big group hug & flashes a little smile*
Hey, at least I got to see the GameBoy Micro, cool rare posters, eat lunch at Café Mario (awesome fancy lunchroom, w/ the walls decorated by fan art), and of course that my dad still thankfully works there (and he just got promoted to the Order Processing department!). He still intends to pass along information to me, and I'll in turn pass it along to you guys...
