Dawn - no possible evolutions?

Aside from Dawn capturing new Pokemon, I've noticed Dawn's team is really limited into how much it can change.

Piplup = the fandom seems split 50/50 on whether it will evolve or not. Some believe it is the mascot of D/P and too marketable to evolve, and others think it'll evolve...simply because Torchic did. But considering its out of its ball like Pikachu in countless episodes now, I'm having a hard time seeing it.

Buneary = Its evo is Lopunny. Buneary is a cute little rabbit with a crush on Pikachu, Lopunny could be funny but awfully disturbing in every ep. Plus we'd have Dawn sporting bunny outfits if it happened. Although given that she's dressed as a maid and a cheerleader, it wouldn't surprise me if she sports the bunny outfit eventually.

Pachirisu = can't evolve.

Ambipom = done.


What do you guys think?
 
My most unreasonable eplaination would be that Pachi evolves in the next gen.

Ah, I think Piplup will cave into evolution at some point. I really want Dawn to get a Glameow sometime (Who knows, maybe Johhana will be less of a B*** to her). If not, Budew (Nando a Drew have had Roselia/Budew, so why not a main charactor for a change) or Blue Shellos. I was sorley diisapointed when the Bui-pom trade happened because I liked how Dawn and Buizel clashed. With Ash, he's just another pokemon to be oaked at the end of season and lost to enternity. Though I doubt Dawn will get another powerhouse, so that's just a whim.

I bet on Chikorita (GSDS). Or Slugma for comic relief.
 
I can see her getting a comic relief pokemon like Misty'd Psyduck...
Maybe something like... Snubull when they get near Solaceon town, which could evolve into Granbull which I could see as a strong Pokemon on her team. :D
I also think that Piplup will evolve into Empoleon, maybe late in the series, and Ash will give Dawn his extra Soothe Bell, which she will use on Buneary to make it evolve into Lopunny.
But thats just a theory. XP
 
Buneary will evolve, the soothe bell is not a pointless plot device.

And like another member said a few months ago, so Buneary likes Pikachu now, but if it evolves, how interesting would it be if Pikachu likes Lopunny now, yet Lopunny doesn't return his feelings?

No comment with Piplup. I am sitting on the fence for that one.

I agree on both points.

Dawn getting West Sea Shellos would be a good way to counterpart Zoey. Good idea.
 
This is a good question. More captures is prob on its way as the series goes on. So maybe the add on's wil have there evolutions...But I don't see her main team evolving any time soon. Course Pachirisu could find a 5th gen evolution. Pipulp might evolve like May's starter did, so who knows.
 
If they are going to pull a reference to a GSDS game, they might give Dawn a Cyndaquil. Ala May's Bulbasaur.

Why Cyndaquil? Well, I doubt they'll give Dawn more normal or water types, and Fire types are a bit of a rarity, especially in DP.

Better yet, it could evolve sometime afterward to make up for the missed oppourtunity to showcase Quilava that they could have done with Ash's Cyndaquil.

Also, even if Pachirisu gets an evolution, I doubt Dawn's will evolve since it's basically a like a Pikachu Jr.
 
BTW, did they ever bring up the soothe bell again after the tag battle arc? I don't remember, I'm not sure if the writers just forgot about it or not.
 
I don't really see Dawn get GS Pokémon. Sorry guys, but think about it. Dawn already have Aipom which evolved to its DP form. Ash now have Gligar who also have DP form. I don't see any more place for GS Pokémon, since the only other GS Pokémon with DP evo is Sneasel. And even though it would be nice for me, Dark-type fan, to seen Sneasel and Weavile as Dawn's Pokémon, I don't think it fits her. I also don't see Dawn get Shellos 'cause she already have Water-type Pokémon. Plus, the Buizel trade were for apparent reason and the reason were Ash need Water-type.
I really wish Stunky or Skutank for Ash, but now Ash is out of this possiblity, I hope Dawn get one. It would be cool comic relief Pokémon many of you wish, and we finally have Dark-type Pokémon for main chatacter which I wish since I learned about Dark-type.
As for evo goes, I really hope Piplup will evolve at least to Prinplup. If for no other reason, then for its english voice which is terrible. I don't think Buneary evolve, for her crush to Pikachu. But on the other hand, Pachirisu is Dawn's kawaii factor Pokémon, so who knows.

I really think the writer's aren't going to care that some 13 year olds on forums think that it's a problem for Buneary to evolve just because they deem it inappropriate. I also do agree that i really think that Pachirisu's going to get an evolution fifth gen and that it'll probably evolve into that.
 
I thought Pachirisu is a comic relief pokemon...
I could see her catching a Ponyta for contests and it would eventually evolve!
 
...Whoa, I think her having a Ponyta would be a really ace thing. It seems like it'd make an awesome contest Pokemon.
 
If she does get a comic-relief Pokemon, it'll probably be a Stunky, though I'm not sure how thrilled I'd be about that. I think her Buneary will evolve, probably once it becomes clear that they both have feelings for eachother (or something like that). I don't really know about Pachirisu, I can't really picture it evolving into anything but we'll see...
 
The writers made it blatantly obvious they want Dawn with cute Pokemon. She got the cutest starter of the three, Buneary and Pachi are deadly cute, and her only "tough" Pokemon was Buizel, who didn't last long until she got Aipom.

Why do people honestly believe we've going to see her with tons of evolutions when the writers made her team blatantly girly and cute?
 
May has pokemon like that as well. Squirtle, Skitty, Bulbasaur, Torchic, Eevee, and Buetifly, are all pokemon that can be considerded "Cute" or "Pretty", (but that really depends on personal prefrences) but the writers still found a way for Wurmple and Torchic (And later hopefully Eevee into Glaceon or Leafeon) to evolve.
 
Cuteness of the Pokémon also depends on its behaviour. Does anyone consider Ash's Squirtle cute? I don't think so. But now, we have May with cute Squirtle. The same I can apply to Buizel. The one in movie 9 definitely were cute, while you hardly can say the same about Buizel Dawn catches. It really depends about how writers decides to portray Pokémon if it will be cute or not.
