I don't post much DC news because, honestly, I'm not a big enough fan to know what's really big news. But this...this is big. Starting in May, and publishing weekly, DC will begin their Countdown series (starting at #51, and following the 52nd issue of their "52" series). Countdown to what? No one knows. We have two images. That's it. Looks interesting, though.

Both images and all known details.

No. World War III (honestly, that's their next big event. But it takes place before the Countdown ends).

Oh, jeez. Not another event. The last event they pulled ruined everything that was still good about the DCverse. At least it's not another Crisis. One year down, 19 to go with that.

Hey, look, dead people. ...crap, so Ted, Kon and Charlie are still dead by the time this new series begins? Goddamnit.

Again? Oh c'mon, this is just becoming embaressing. It's making DC look like it can't sell a damn comic book without a gigantic crossover that rewrites all of their continuity.

Huh. Oo; There are two Green Lanterns on the cover, (Kyle Rayner and John Stewart), but as of yet, I can't find the Martian Manhunter. That saddens me. =\ Or maybe I'm not looking hard enough. >>

And lol, in the 2nd pic, Batman's suit is all baggy. xD Don't know why, that just made me chuckle.

I'm not really gonna give an opinion on this til I've read a few of them, so I guess I'll have to wait and see.

Edit: Roffle, Doctor Doom look-a-like in the cover. xD

As opposed to Marvel making a million things that are contradictory fit into the same continuity? HOW MANY times has Iron Man been corrupted by a virus in the past decade alone?

DC rewriting continuity is confusing to people like me who want to get really into it like with Marvel, but it's great for getting new readers who don't like to learn decades-long histories (aka the majority of the populace of earth).

Kyle Rayner is Ion now. Martian Manhunter is in the first image in the second link I posted, which is a more complete version of the same image. Upper right corner next to Red Tornado. There's also the Alan Scott Green Lantern (the original) and the Hal Jordan Green Lantern (the classic).

Huh, didn't notice a 2nd link. Oo; And lol @ all the Green Lanterns. xD They should put Jade in too if they're putting a load of others in.

And cool, Green Arrow. I've been obsessed with him since he's been on Smallville. ^^;

Dead. No clue how or when, exactly, she died but...she's dead. Happened sometime during the last Crisis, if I'm not mistaken.

God damnit. Everything I like about comics is changing while I don't pay attention. xD Ah well. >>

I just read Ultimate Marvel. :D

Yeah, I got the hardcover edition of the first seven issues of Ultimate Spidey in near mint condition for only 15 bucks today. : D

It's not that they do it so much as they do it so much lately. Once every ten years - fine. But this is starting to be a once every 2-5 years thing with them, which is insane.
