4800 still? I'm going to be investing a new gaming rig and Athlons are the best for that sort of thing.

Indeed? I've been rocking the Intels, but they've become sub-par.

I just checked on New Egg. It turns out that there's a 6000+ out, but it's like $460.

Actually, I think the Core 2 Duo currently outperforms almost anything on AMD's lineup. At least that's the last thing I heard.

Well I'm asking this as if "Money were no issue". What would a top-of-the-line computer be?

I've heard of Pentium's Dual Cores, will they outlast Athlons as the favored system? The E6700 is definitely intriguing sounding...

And the monstrously expensive GeForce 8800 GTX is still the only card with DirectX 10 compatibility, right?
