Death Within Darkness
‘No, man! You’ll get yourself killed!’ The brave champion of the elite four held back a curious citizen, keeping him away from the terrible creature that engulfed the land. “This creature will kill you upon sight!’ He threw a pebble at the ghostly creature, but it went straight through it’s gassy body. “Oh, dammit!’
The ghost laughed in a bad manner. ‘Hahaha… Looks like you’ve got a monster loose…Hahaha!’ It wrapped it’s hand round an innocent man’s throat, and threw him back at the ground. ‘Oh….looks like Darkrai killed someone! Hahaha!’
‘Yaaaah!!!’ A man ran up to Darkrai with a knife, hoping to kill him. ‘You’re gonna die!!!’
The champion held the man back. ‘Are you mad? Do you want to die?’ He walked up to Darkrai, curiously. ‘Heheh…I’ve got a plan. Hey, Darkrai! You know me? I’m gonna seal your spirit into a newborn baby!’
‘Great plan, Capp’n!’ Darkrai suddenly disappeared, then reappeared next to the champion. ‘And how ya gonna do that…..boss?’
The champion threw a book out of his pocket, reciting it. ‘Sea, Earth, Sky, Space! Start the war against this race! Jin, Fin, Lin… BEGIN!!!’ A strange soul bred out of the book, surrouding the gastly ghost.
‘Hahaha! Weakling! I am Darkrai, leader of Orga… Aargh, crap!' The ghost swirled into a tornado shape, suddenly morphing itself into a baby. It cutely opened it’s eyes, and started crying naturally.
‘Cute…blue…eyes…’ He collapsed on the ground, his heart slowly dying. ‘This baby…is…a…hero…’
Takuya switched his shiny silver DS on, impatienly waiting for the game to actually start. “Humph. Look’s like a good game.” The words ‘Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of the Sea’ flashed up. “Hope it’s well worth the wait.” His black hair swayed to his left, as he rolled over his bed. His cat jumped onto, licking his face. “Hey, Snowy! How’ve you been?” He stroked her soft fur. “You haven’t been scaring our dog, have you?”
Snowy stayed silent, and then jumped onto Takuya’s face. “Wah! Get off my face!”
‘First I will ask three questions. Answer honestly.’ Those words appeared on the screen, followed by a quick flash. The first question appeared: ‘You see a wallet lying on the path. Do you A, Pick it up without a hesitation, B, Send it to the police, or C, Take all the money, but throw the wallet itself back on the ground.’
“Well…” He thought for a moment, then tapped ‘A’. “I want extra money, so it just has to be A.”
‘Question 2. An elderly man is struggling to cross the road. Do you A, Help him walk along, B, Push him into the road so he gets run over, or C, Leave him struggling.’
“I don’t want to be mean…” He immediately tapped ‘A’ again. “I don’t want him to be killed.” Snowy rested it’s head onto it’s front paw, peacefully drifting off to sleep.
‘Final Question. You find out that the new videogame you wanted goes up in price. Do you A, Forget about it because it so expensive, B, Buy it anyway, or C, wait until it goes down in price.’
“I would forget about it.” He tapped ‘A’ once more. “Wouldn’t you do that, Snowy?” He roughed up Snowy’s hair, who suddenly started purring in a sign of love.
‘You are the honest type, though you just can’t wait for money. If someone needs help, you always do help them. I’d say you’re just like a… Charmander!’
“Wahoo! Charmander!” Takuya picked up his cat, and spun in a circle with it. “I’m a Charmander! A totally honest Charmander!”
A ghostly hand morphed out of the screen. “Not so fast… Hero!” The hand pulled Takuya’s own hand, trying to bring him into the game. “You’re not going anywhere!”
“Waah!” He frantically tried to grab into his bed, but it was no use. The hand pulled him straight into the screen. “Nooooo!”
There was a huge flash, and Snowy looked around curiously. “Maow?”
Takuya spun through a vortex, as he started morphing. His head got larger and and a tail sprouted from his bottom, with fire at it’s tip. A red colour swarmed over his body. “Wha….what’s happening…” His eyes slowly closed, and he felt himself fall a great height…
Next time: A whole new world is out there for Takuya, but not nessacarily a good one. Deadly spirits and curses and... an over-excited Jynx. Just what Takuya needs. All this and more in the next chapter of Death Within Darkness!
