Those are just some of the characters that Satoshi is shipped with. The list goes on and on.

But who do YOU think is the best match for Satoshi? This is the thread to tell what you think, and debate over which of our opinions is best!

I'll start off by saying that I think PokéShipping (Satoshi x Kasumi) is my faveorite. They have been through a lot, for one thing. I give more spesific hints when somebody disagrees.
 
Oh oh oh I pick Kasumi because she was the first girl Satoshi ever met
 
I also pick Kasumi (Misty), but I think this would have been better as a post
 
Yeah besides Pikachu and Togepi were like kids in the anime
 
How could you forget Gary, considering the amount of Yaoi fangirls on this site who ship the two together (in fact, I can hardly wait to see them on here)? You also missed Anabel, another popular choice.

Anyways, I'd say May, because she's really nice. I like how the two have more admiration for each other than conflict in their interactions. I like relationships where the two involved don't fight as much, especially when you consider the high divorce rate.

It doesn't matter that Ash met Misty first. I don't believe in love at first sight, and the first girl you try getting into a relationship with isn't necessarily the most compatible.

Gary, because he's amazing, and the relationship between the two seems to have the most noticable development on the show. And btw, Ash met HIM first, even in the actual show itself, not Misty. X3
 
Yeah Gary was the first BOY Ash met on the anime I said Misty was the first GIRL he met on the anime besides in the episode Gotta Catch Ya Later Misty was really upset about not traveling with Ash anymore and then flashbacks occured with just Ash and Misty so that episode had Pokeshipping in it besides I don't really believe in the same gender pairings

You do know that a portion of the Pokeshipping hints were added by 4Kids? And why don't you believe in them; they're not bad of wrong, you know. And...*clears throat* Punctuation is your friend.

What? Ash's mom doesn't count? Although, if your pitching a scenerio much like Eric Cartman and his mom, it would explain who Ash's father is :p

Neither does Shakespear and that's why Romeo and Juliet ended up dead. Besides, it was more like hate at first sight between the two.

I'm going with Ashachu and Bayleef just because I find it more interesting than human ships.

As for the answer:

Brock. It's subtexted canon.

...What? He's the perfect wife, if you haven't noticed: he cooks (Ash's favorite bit), cleans, and cares for the children. Not to mention, Brock's affinity for women: when Brodie masqueraded as Millie in his debut, Brock didn't go ga-ga. When Ash crossdressed as Julie from the Romeo/Juliet Hoenn episode? ...Using the above example as proof Brock can supernaturally sense when women aren't real, he shouldn't have gone after Ash. At all. But he did. When mocked up as a double for a older woman. Something smells out of sorts, but it's Ash.

Truth, and I stick by it. Girls will come and go, but Brock's always constant (unless you hit teh islands, man). He's Ash's right match.

*thinks for a long time* it would have to be either Misty or May. they both have a good chance to end up with Ash. and the age diffenrence isn't that much of a difference and they both like Ash.

Like battlefreak mentioned, it has to be between Misty and May. Despite their friendly highfives, Dawn is out for two reasons:
1) her name doesn't start with an "M" (at least in English it doesnt)
2) she's too high maintenance for a guy like Ash
3) Ash is so not her type XD

Reasons for Misty:
1) the first girl he's ever traveled with, and for the longest too
2) because we all know she fell in love with him (yes, love, not like)
3) cuz she and Ash fight like a married couple
4) because she saved his life
5) because she brings out a whole 'nother side of ash that neither may or dawn can seem to produce (even though they're practically all over him lol)
6) they both poke fun at each other
7) she keeps him in touch with reality
8) him: pokemon master; her: water pokemon master


Why not Misty:
1) she hurts him. XD
2) the slight age difference.
3) she can't tell him what she really feels.
4) there's rudy, georgio, and there was another guy. tracey is a possibility too.


Why May:
1) You tell 'em something, and they both look at you and say, "huh?"
2) Only May can match Ash's beastly appetite.
3) They both share the same starter pokeymanz. Bulbasaur, Squirtle...
4) Oh yeah, their Bulbasaurs had a thing for each other.
5) Speaking of pokemon, Ash had a Butterfree and May has Beautifly *is looking through bulbapedia*
6) Ash is always looking after her, where he can tease Misty(all the time) and Dawn(her chimchar hair), he rarely makes fun of May.
7) She was sooo excited to be travelling with him.
8) him: pokemon master; her: top coordinator

Reasons its not May:
1) Four letters baby! D-R-E-W (they had the hots for each other)
2) where he's into battling, she's more of a contest kinda girl
3) he LOOOVES pokemon, while May started out not even liking them
4) D to the R to the E to Double You!

So, though I'm convinced that initially May had a thing for him, her whole path as a pokemon trainer changed when she discovered contests (and Drew). I have to admit, advanceshipping has some pretty good chemistry, but when you start thinking about the pokeshipping moments... they are just so explosive and passionate in comparison!

Based on my analysis of this matter, I conclude that the girl for Ash is Kasumi. Cuz she really did like him, and you always hurt the ones you love. ;)

Yes i been trying to tell this to my frineds but they just won't listen. *sigh* anyway advanceshipping I THINK has much more hints than poke and pearl. i like pokeshipping as well but theres something about Ash and May i just can't explain.

I'm not that good with shipping debates, but you are forgetting the most recent, Aoi, aren't you? While she is more like a Misty (emotionally) + Anabel (physically) combo and her chance of reapperence are as great as Bianca's or Melody's, I think Ash and Aoi are a good couple, beside the fact that they are too competitifve with each other.
 
I think AdvanceShipping showed some promise, but ContestShipping (May-Drew) killed it. I think Ash belongs with Misty. They're both at about the same level maturity-wise and Pokemon training-wise.
