I recently created a deck specifically created for the Modified format, and I am curious as to how good it is. Nobody I live with plays the TCG (most of them don't even play the games), but I still want to know.

The cards in my deck are:
2x Cyndaquil (HeartGold & SoulSilver 61)
1x Cyndaquil (Call of Legends 55)
1x Vulpix (HeartGold & SoulSilver 87)
3x Zorua (Emerging Powers 66)
1x Ninetales (Unleashed 20)
2x Quilava (HeartGold & SoulSilver 49)
1x Zoroark (BW Black Star Promos 09)
1x Typhlosion (Call of Legends 35)
15x Fire Energy
5x Darkness Energy
1x Burned Tower (Undaunted 71)
2x Energy Retrieval (Black & White 92)
1x Eviolite (Noble Victories 91)
4x Fisherman (HeartGold & SoulSilver 92)
1x Full Heal (HeartGold & SoulSilver 93)
3x Full Heal (Black & White 95)
1x Good Rod (Unleashed 76)
1x Level Ball (Next Destinies 89)
1x Life Herb (Unleashed 79)
2x Max Potion (Emerging Powers 94)
4x Potion (Black & White 100)
2x Recycle (Emerging Powers 96)
4x Revive (Black & White 102)
1x Super Rod (Noble Victories 95)

I have a similar deck on TCGO, but I can't play it because my Internet is slow.

To be honet, not that good. You happen to be using the weaker Typhlosion, the weaker Ninetales, and you aren't using Zoroark to it's strengths. You also have no refresh supporters (such as Proffesor Oak's New Theory, Proffesor Juniper) and no Rare Candies. Here are the changes I would suggest:

Get rid of:
Typhlosion x1
Quilava x1
Ninetales x1
Zorua x1
Dark Energy x5
Burned Tower x1
Fisherman x3
Full Heal x4
Potion x4
Recycle x2
Revive x4
Good Rod x1
Life Herb x1

Add:
Typhlosion Prime x3
Ninetales HGSS (or CoL) x2
Zoroark x1
Vulpix x1
Reshiram x3
Sage's Training x3
Professor Oak's New Theory x3
Professor Juniper x2
Rare Candy x4
Pokemon Communication x3
Junk Arm x4

I think that comes out even. If you have any questions about the suggestions I've made I'd be happy to answer them. Good luck

...Yeah, um... The problem with your suggestion is that I probably don't have some of those cards. I can only use what I have, after all.

Oh yeah, I know the feeling... It is kinda difficult to critique decks that way. Have you looked if there is a league by you that you could trade for cards?

There are two, apparently the same one, that meet on Sundays and Tuesdays. But I couldn't go, unfortunately. Nobody would let me. Besides, even if I could, who in their right mind would trade with me?

Wow, way to think on the negative side... What do you mean who would trade with you? The people at the leagues are all really welcoming to the newcomers. If you can find any way to go, I would encourage you to do so. In addition to getting cards and practice, you will find the opporitunities to make many new friends.
