Hello! Congratulations to all who worked to defeat Bowser and his army in the last thread. Now it's time for a new set of opponents. Expect these to be more challenging than last time. But first, a rundown of how the game works:

  • I will give you the enemy and their health points, and you have to attack it with all that you've got.
  • Your attacks will be scored from 0-10 and tallied every so often to show how far you have to go before the enemy is defeated.
  • Your attacks do not have to be based on the video game and you don't have to know who the enemy is to play. You can use bombs, swords, paper fans, zucchinis, black holes, paintball guns, whistling, memes, whatever you want to take down the opponent.
  • After an enemy is defeated, I will post the next enemy, which will be stronger than the one before it and will therefore take longer to wear down.
  • After you have defeated a certain number of enemies, the boss will appear, which is much stronger than any of its minions.

This is a comprehensive list of actions you can take, and you can only use one of these per post.

1. Attack the enemy
2. Protect yourself from an enemy ability (if applicable)
3. Protect/Heal an ally from an enemy ability (if applicable)
4. Boost another player's attack power
5. Heal the boss
6. Protect the boss
7. Weaken another player's attack power (essentially the same as protecting the boss)

This time the enemies come from the original (International) Pokémon games. Lets do this!

Enemy #1
Brock's Onix
Health = 150
Special Ability: Harden - For every attack, there's a 50% chance the attack will deal 1/2 damage (rounded up).*

*TIP: As you may have noticed in the previous game, using teamwork such as boosting another poster's attack power tends to result in higher damage from the boosted attacker. Using these tactics will usually prevent Harden's effect as well. So think strategically! Feel free to team up with other attackers to make sure your hits are strong.

Good luck!

*Puts water back into the pool since Poison isn't very effective on Rock types*

*casts the Deluge Mercury Psynergy*

*Makes it rain to make the onix vulnerable to electric attacks for some reason*

*Uses Leech Seed on Onix, slow sapping its life energy until it dies*

Suplex slam the Onix right into a lovely pool
Oooh, the combined force of the slam and the water was powerful

Harden activated!

*Replaces pool with acid*
Building off of attacks, liking this strategy.

And another round of water!

You're really making me do my reading on Golden Sun. :p A pretty strong attack by the looks of it!

Harden activates!

*throws Ash's Pikachu*
Pikachu knocks into Onix and sort of bounces off.

Gives the Onix a nice bath in the ocean
Onix hates being clean!

*Makes it rain to make the onix vulnerable to electric attacks for some reason*
A tried and proven strategy. I wonder if anyone will take advantage of this later. ;) In the meantime...

Harden activates! (sorry for getting so many of these)

*Uses Leech Seed on Onix, slow sapping its life energy until it dies*
You gain back some health! ... too bad that's not a factor in this game.

Health = 119/150

*Takes advantage of Onix being weak to Electric types for some reason and uses Thunderbolt*

*Sends out a Cloyster to battle the Onix*

...No innuendos here, why would you think that?

Because I am a Mercury Adept...

*casts Drench Psynergy, then Neptune is Summoned*

HeroicPooch stomps the ground, sending Bulldoze at the Onix.
