Is it okay to discuss/ask about them in a public forum if it was deleted as the result of e-drama?

(BTW, this is in regards to a different fandom, so I'm not referring to any Pokemon fanfics)
 
I suppose it's okay to ask about them. I guess it depends on the level of the e-drama that occurred when the fic was deleted/removed. Some authors might not want to revisit those days.
