It's been a few years since we last had a proper raffle as part of the Holiday Contests, so we figured it was time we brought the concept back. We do have a bit of a different setup for the raffle this year however. The FAQs on Bulbapedia and around the rest of Bulbagarden are getting a bit long in the tooth, and we'd like to ask for your help in bringing them up to speed!

In this contest, you'll be able to submit questions in the following three categories.
  • What are your Frequently Asked Questions about Bulbapedia as either a visitor, or as a registered user contributing to the wiki?
  • What are your Frequently Asked Questions about Bulbagarden other than Bulbapedia, including the Bulbagarden Forums and Bulbanews, the Discord server, and our various social media and streaming channels such as our Twitch and YouTube.
  • What other questions do you have regarding Bulbagarden and/or Bulbapedia?
Only the first of those categories, focused on questions for the Bulbapedia FAQ, is mandatory for your entry to count. You can submit as many questions as you like.

Prizes
A total of 10 winners will each receive a Pokémon Center Gift Card to the value of $70 USD / $99 CAD / £60 GBP (for winners in the United States, Canada, or United Kingdom), or an equivalent value in readily available Pokémon merchandise (for winners in other countries).

Winners will be chosen randomly from all people who submit at least one valid and reasonable question prior to the end of the contest.

Please note that winning this contest does not guarantee that your submitted questions will be answered on the revised FAQs, and that your questions may be selected for those FAQs even if you don't win a prize.

How to Enter
When you're ready to submit your questions, you'll need to enter them on this submissions form. Once you submit your questions, you won't be able to edit it, so make sure that you're satisfied with what you've put down before submitting!

All entries must be received prior to 11:59pm (PST), Wednesday December 31st, 2025.

For general FAQs applicable to all of our Bulbagarden Holiday Contests, please see the main post in the announcement thread here.

* What is a valid and reasonable question? Who decides that?
We're looking for questions which people might realistically ask, and which we can actually provide an answer to that would help others. As examples of the styles of questions that would be good, you can consider the existing (outdated) Bulbapedia FAQ page, or the FAQs for these contests. If you're not sure if something would count, you can contact us privately before submitting and we can let you know.

As some rough rules of thumb, avoid questions that are excessively broad, or which delve into topics that we obviously couldn't or wouldn't answer in a public FAQ.

* Can I submit the same question as someone else? Is it a problem if I've had the same idea as someone who's already submitted?
The idea of frequently asked questions is that they're frequently asked, so that's not an issue at all! We're absolutely not going to be penalizing people who've independently had the same idea.

Having said that, we would prefer you try and come up with your questions independently. Ideally, these are the things you have a question about, not things you think someone else would have a question about. Something like a campaign to brigade the results with submissions of a single question also wouldn't really be helpful, and may result in disqualifications at the sole discretion of the contest judges.

Anybody else having trouble placing new lines? Looks like the buttons don't do anything for me.
I'm temporarily disabling the Delibird Mailbag entry form to address this issue for you. I'll have the form back up shortly.

EDIT: This issue has now been resolved.

Okay, mayhaps this is a silly question, but where is Bulbagarden's (not pedia's) FAQ? Does one exist currently? I wanna see what questions are currently there for comparison purpose (if it exists).

Seconding the above issue
That issue should now be resolved. Can you confirm if you're still having it?

There's a kind of one here, though it's not exactly in a normal FAQ format. Some individual sections like the Writer's Workshop have their own ones, and there's also the general forums Help pages.

I noticed that the link redirecting to the forum, right after entering and submitting your response to the form, leads to a thread that is not reachable anymore. It's the 2020 Scevnenger Hunt: A Galarian Winter’s Path - Holiday Scavenger Hunt.

This only happens with this contest; the others correctly redirect to the Bulbagarden Holiday Contests 2025.
Huh, not sure how we missed that one. This issue should now be fixed.

Maybe they should make a separate, updated Bulbagarden FAQ so newcomers can find their way around without getting lost in all the old links.
That is part of the intention, yes.

Congratulations to our winners!

I've pinged all winners with Forums accounts above, and if you're on the Bulbagarden Discord, I've already pinged you there too. You'll all be receiving an email from me shortly as well.
I had some problems with sending the email so i am sending the email with the info from a different one
