Democrats won their third straight special election in a conservative district - first in Illinois, then in Louisiana, and now in Mississippi, and this one by a margin that wasn't even close - 8%.

This election is generally being seen as a really bad thing for the GOP - the first two were written off as being blamed on poor nominees (although that says something in and of itself), but the nominee in Mississippi was effective and competent. There's quite a bit of in-fighting in the GOP upper ranks, particularly between NRCC chairman Tom Cole and House Minority Leader John Boehner. Even Newt Gingrich said the Louisiana loss was a bad sign and that the Republicans need to change or suffer humiliation.

That's nice...another Democratic seat in the House. Doesn't really matter until there are 60 Democratic seats in the Senate.
