Dendra & The Alfornada Gym Test/Challenge

In my Scarlet Adventure, I am about to do the Alfornada Gym Test and the person refers to a black haired woman in a black tracksuit. The woman turns out to be Dendra from the Academy. How does the person not know who she is? Isn't the academy not the biggest in Paldea or is it a case of, the only ones who would know any of the teachers would be those who went there? Its something I am only now realizing.

i'm pretty sure Iono also doesn't realise Clavell is someone of importance during her gym challenge, so i'd say the academy staff aren't that famous
