Maybe it's wrong that I find this story funny, but can you really blame me? The Islamic extremists are so desperate that they've resorted to internet contests to gain attention.

Found that on Harper's, supposedly it's from a New York Times story. Again, I apologize if I'm the only one who finds this humorous, but I just had to share. Certainly not the type of thing you hear about everyday. I wonder if they've already got the domain name registered.

C'mon, Mozz, this is JUST like the Westboro Baptist Church (the...infamous one...not any other that might coincidentally share the name), minus the rockets, although I'm sure if they had them, they'd offer the same prize.

Right, Damian, and Islam is currently basking in the warm glow of the 1300's. Just look at how they treat their women.
 
It took about 1400 years for Christiany to reach the Ìnquisition's age.

Incidentally, it's been about 1400 years since Islam got started :p

That was the Puritans. :p
 
Puritans were protestant. Protestant, according to Webster's dictionary, means "a member of any of several church denominations denying the universal authority of the Pope and affirming the Reformation principles of justification by faith alone, the priesthood of all believers, and the primacy of the Bible as the only source of revealed truth."

It also says, "Puritan - a member of a 16th and 17th century Protestant group in England and New England opposing as unscriptural the ceremonial worship and the prelacy of the Church of England."
 
They'd get more and better entries if they offered an iPod as a prize instead. Somehow, it would all fit together quite well. XD

The Puritans were even more extreme than today's isalmic terrorists. They turned on each other for crying out loud and engineered their own destruction. That, and they had a thing for 'shrooms.

Lolz, Islam was more tolerant in the early Middle Ages than Christianity has been for most of its history.
