So as the name says this an RP that will be centered around detectives and criminals, but you are not limited to those roles. Of course you can be whatever you want. A firefighter, a retail worker, or someone who deals in information. Whatever you want.

What’s important to know: This is not our world. There is one language, and no countries. Just cities and towns. The largest city is known as Metropolis City and is known by everyone. However outside of that it is similar to our world, just not as polluted, and everyone has a science. Of course diseases exist that don’t exist in our world, and feel free to make up some.

Example that will actually appear: Skeleton’s disease: Those that have this have parts of flesh missing from their bodies. Despite this, they can move the parts even if there is no flesh. Thus they can basically be walking skeletons. Those with this also have heightened vitality, especially towards things that attack the inside of the body such as the flu and what not. It’s genetic.

A science is what your character is an expert in, and as this world has its own rules: Feel free to make up chemicals and stuff and what not. An example would be making guns, and knowing all about them. Or knowing how to quickly grow plants, breed them, etc. Be creative, but make sure you’re not OP, and people have one specific science. A main point though they may have slight knowledge in other things to add on to theirs.

Detectives: Detectives take on jobs from a central leadership (and this fact has plot relevance) and are forced to work with partners. The jobs are ranked, and partners depending on accepting of jobs. They are forbidden from interaction with criminals that goes past prey and predator. They are 21+ years old.

Known Detectives: Bella Cruce, Marissa Hayes, Jetsk Symphony, Lugosi Cruce.

Criminals: Low scale ones are unknown and either just haven’t risen to fame, or choose to remain hidden because they are not strong enough. Large scale Criminals are well known due to being so skilled that they don’t have to hide.

Feel free to make your characters have famous parents, or be well known themselves. Try not to be OP, I’ll of course say something if I feel like you are.

Rules:

-All BMG rules

-PG-13

-Be respectful

-Have fun

-Feel free to ask me anything, or come up with ideas.

-Be creative. I want to make magic together ;)

-Am I missing anything?

My SUS
Name: Lucifer Cruce

Age: 22

Gender: Male

Occupation: Detective

Hometown: Londontown

Appearance: Black hair that reaches down to his shoulders in the back, shorter in the front. His eyes are a hazel green, and he is average height with a body that doesn’t look particularly strong. His clothing style is usually jeans, boots, t-shirts, and a jacket. His whole spine can be seen due to having skeleton’s disease. There may be other patches of missing flesh.

Personality: Lucifer is neither an introvert or extrovert. He doesn’t like to seek out conflict, but he also doesn’t like to watch others be hurt by another. If someone were to toss words at him, he would not say anything back, however despite this he is quite brave and always willing to give his life for what he believes in. He is a curious person and doesn’t believe in things being black and white, but unfortunately doesn’t really do much about it. He is quite friendly, though he does worry about others picking on him due to experiences growing up with skeletons disease. He can sometimes just go with the crowd. He also has a complex about not having discovered his science.

Bio: Lucifer is the son of Detective Bella Cruce, and a criminal that was in his time famous, Ares Bat (currently in prison). However due to the rules surrounding detectives he believes his father to be someone not a criminal, and to be dead, as his mother told him so as to protect him. Thus he grew up admiring his mother and aspired to be like her. Growing up due to having skeleton’s disease he suffered at the hands of bullies, having only one friend who he no longer is in contact with.

Science: Undiscovered.

Name: Sonia Foxx

Age: 21

Gender: Female

Occupation: Criminal

Hometown: Londontown

Appearance: Sonia has long blonde hair that reaches to mid-back and azul blue eyes. She is average height and tends to wear tight clothing save for her sleeves which she likes loose. She also usually wears gloves.

Personality: Sonia is an ice queen. She loathes the law, and her mother. She enjoys freedom and doing what she wants, and wants to make the world the way she wants, which is of course not how it is. She enjoys history in the way of trying to discover things from before she was born, something that is not very well known. She enjoys reading as a past time, as well as working on her science. She also loves to write letters to her father, who she is quite the fan of. Her favorite criminal activity: Castrating abusive men. She is willing to work with anyone if it serves her in some way. She has a unrooted hatred for detectives in general.

Bio: Sonia is the daughter of Detective Marissa Hayes and criminal Yuri “Mozilla” Foxx (Currently in Prison). Growing up her mother never told her her father’s name, and only told her he was some man she had a one night stand with and didn’t even know. Of course only the one night stand part was true, and as a teenager Sonia learned of who her father was and got to know him, and also formed a dislike for her mother for hiding the truth from her. Regardless of the fact her mother claimed it was to protect her from the rules placed against detectives. After this she took on her father’s last name, and followed his footstep in criminal activities.

Science: Sonia controls wires that can slice through something such as flesh, but not something such as stone. She has these on each hands, and can retract or send them out at will. More than that though she can elements to them-currently the only elements are fire and electricity, though she’s starting to figure out ice.

I'll join this within 48 hours. How easy is it to hide your identity if you're a criminal? Like, are there a lot of security cameras in public places?

Pretty easy if you care to. Only detectives really do anything about them. Technically there are officers but they basically take care of low scale things like simple muggings. Cameras very from place to place but they're not that present unless the owner of the place is someone into that kind of thing. Detectives have the skills to hunt without that. It really depends on yourself.

I want to reserve a spot myself

Reservations are unnecessary since tis is always open.

Name: Lucas "Scorpio" McManus

Age: 21

Gender: Male

Occupation: Criminal

Hometown: Londontown

Appearance: Lucas doesn't look how you'd expect a hired gun to look. Sure, he's in pretty good shape. He's not exactly musclebound, but he's got a strong body well-suited for his agile combat style. But he really looks more like he should be in a boy band. He's very pretty, with long black hair. He typically keeps it tied back in a ponytail. His eyes are olive-colored, almost gold.

In terms of clothing, he normally keeps it casual. Jeans, t-shirts, and sandals. He has a few sets of clothes that he sewed pockets into the inside. This allows him to put plates of armor in them and retain mobility. He sometimes wears them if he's just hanging out, and he always wears them for a mission. He's rarely seen without his black leather jacket. It has a red scorpion emblem emblazoned on the back, 'cause Lucas thinks scorpions are badass, and spikes strategically placed for melee combat. It also has lots of pockets for holding firearms, and it's very easy for him to hide his favorite pair of pistols in it. While many criminals don't care about hiding their identity, Lucas doesn't want any enemies he makes to try to kill him while he's getting a burger, so he usually wears a motorcycle helmet. It's got titanium built into it, so he won't die if someone scores a lucky hit on his head.

If he foresees a fight when he goes out, he usually brings along a briefcase. This lets him hold a lot of weapons. He's very good at storing a lot of things in it. When bullets start flying, he usually takes a scabbard out of it. It contains a longsword, and he usually puts it over his back for easy access.

Personality: Lucas has spent all of his life fighting. You'd think that would make him a very angry and ill-tempered person, but it's actually great stress relief. Lucas is one of the most calm and laid-back individuals you'll meet. Maybe it's just that he ran out of anger? He seems like a pretty nice guy, so long as he hasn't been hired to kill you. He tries to have some moral code as he goes about his life as a mercenary. He's not the type to be really huge on social change, but he killing an innocent would leave a bad taste in his mouth. He does think that the world would be a better place if some people would die, and he thinks the detectives often do more harm than good. Sometimes he'll take a pro bono case, too.

His hobbies include fighting, video games, collecting Claw Man comic books, collecting weapons, growing bonsai trees, and occasional consumption of the hallucinogen known as Jazz, though he hasn't done it in a while.

Bio: Lucas doesn't really like to talk about his past. He was born an illegitimate child. He never knew his father. At some point, he found the bar knowns as "MESSERKAMPF!". On the surface, it's just a dive bar where people can go to get drunk. It's actually a front for a fight club. Patrons can bet on fights, or join in. The fights are typically nonlethal, though if both participants are down with it, the bar will allow death fights. Lucas initially made a name for himself there, fighting under the name Scorpio.

Even at 15, he was a formidable opponent, owing to having discovered his science fairly early. This got him noticed by the criminal element, and he began to work as a hired gun. He only accepts missions where he's fighting someone who he deems as wicked. He rarely gets offered those cases, owing to a certain incident.

It was also due to his time fighting at MESSERKAMPF! that he met his weapons dealer, Bushido Bill, and began his hobby of collecting weapons.

Science: Lucas' has enhanced reflexes. This gives him great balance, lets him dodge bullets, do crazy parkour stunts, and makes him very good at fighting in addition to the training he has. As a side effect, he's ambidextrous. With the aid of his sword, Lesath, he can block bullets, though if a bunch of people start shooting at him at once he'll probably be turned into Swiss cheese all the same.

Other:
Even for a criminal, Lucas owns a lot of weapons. He owns at least one of most conventional firearms, and collects archaic weapons such as swords, throwing knives, and axes. He doesn't have anything crazy like a flamethrower or minigun or rocket launcher or plasma sword, but he's saving up.
He is the proud owner of a pair of Devil Scorpions, and can in theory milk them for their venom, though in practice he doesn't do it very often because it's kinda tricky and he always worries about being stung.

Is classical mythology a thing in this setting, or is there some analog to it?

@HeroicSociopath It is a thing.
occasional consumption of the hallucinogen known as Jazz, though he hasn't done it in a while.
Also I love this!
Accepted. Though being skilled enough to dodge bullets and whatnot is a pretty normal thing, unless he's done something to where he dodges them like the matrix.

Thank you.

Normal for everyone in the setting, or for player characters? Maybe I'll make it so he can dodge a bunch of byllets at once if he needs to.
