How many Pokedexes (Pokdexi?) have you completed? I personally haven't completed any, but am trying my hardest to complete the SoulSilver one before Black/White comes out.

I've completed 4 Pokedexes, so far. Ruby, FireRed, Emerald, and Platinum. I'm currently working on getting Diamond and SoulSilver done.

The first one is always the most difficult (in my case, it was Emerald). After that's done, you can always use it to breed some of the rarer or unavailable ones for trading to the other games.

Never completed a Dex; it seems like a tall order to me, trading back and forth between versions.

I completed Blue's back in the day. My cousin kept telling me that I'd totally be rewarded with a Mew for it, and he was more disappointed than I was when I just got the certificate. I'm currently either three or four pokemon away from completing HG's Johto dex and over 150 away from the national.

It is impossible to complete a us one because celebi has yet to be released in america. See my qoute.

Not impossible... just rare. Celebi (OT: 10ANIV) was given out back in Gen III, and they can be sent ahead to Gen IV with Pal Park. That's how I got Celebi for my Platinum Pokedex.

Excluding certain events, I've got full dex in Yellow (150), Sapphire (383) and Platinum (493). So including all events, I have the full dex in Platinum. Working on SoulSilver; I have most legends on it already, so I'm going to get it totally filled up sometime soon.

E: Gold was, before its battery died, at 248. So I missed only Entei for the full dex bar Mew+Celebi (Suicune was roaming too, but I had traded one before). Sucks to be so close.

I've never finished a Dex because I have this thing where I have to have one of EVERY Pokemon. So, for example, instead of training a Charizard to have both its evolutions in the Dex I would breed two Charmanders from it and train one of them up to Charmeleon. Maybe It's just me, but it makes the Dex completion a bit more satisfactory.

I actually did this in Sapphire, it's called a Living Pokédex. Now it's awfully incomplete and broken, though, because I migrated a lot of Pokémon, including most of my legendaries, into Platinum.

I would've done a living Pokédex in Gen IV too, but there's just not enough box space. If I did, I would have less than one full box for other Pokémon, and that'd be destructive for my trade shop and stuff.

The next game usually comes out before I finish the last Dex, I work slowly.

I'm nearly finished on Pearl. Most of the Pokemon I don't have is just becuase I don't want to waste the evolution items should I ever need them. Aside from them, Kyogre, Celebi, Jirachi, Shaymin, Darkrai, Dialga & Arceus are the only Pokes I need, and legendaries don't really count lol.

Seeming as self trade onto Soul Silver is basically impossible, I'll probably never bother with the Pokedex on that.

I got everything on Emerald and I completed Yellow when I was a kid too (150/151) and printed off the certificate on my Gameboy Printer :3.

So I guess 2nd Gen is the only one I didn't bother with. Sux2bJohto.

Im sorry I retract my earlier post. You are right.

I only completed Red bar Mew =/ mind, that was during the time when I had enough friends to trade back and forth with and an actual gameboy to play the games on. It also helped that I had a blue cartridge and a spare game boy :D

I got all 200 for the Ruby Dex, but I don't care anymore for the Dex

I have the entire Diamond Pokedex.
Mew was given out in Japan and I'm friends with this guy who knows someone in Japan who cloned it and gave it to him, then he (my friend) owed me so he gave me mew

I finished gold version's po9kedex with help (you might call it stealing) from my brother's blue version and my buddy's silver.

EDIT: I didn't get mew of celebi, though.
