I'm not talking about and art map or a ingame map but the ones in Prima Guides but all joined together to make a huge but very detailed map. Anyone up for a challenge.

I'm not understanding what your asking. If you are asking to make a national map encompassing all the regions, then I think your doing it far too early.

What he is talking about is a huge map created by joining all of the ingame maps(like pasting together the actual towns to form a map of the region). I have seen that done in prima guides.

Well there's still the Mystery Zone between them... You'd be best off getting the whole thing ripped from the game.

...anyone know any possible way to?

Yep TTEchidna and pkmn493 are both right. As for TTEchidna question you would need a rom (legit, ask the people on the rom sites how they do it and to it yourself, Or stoop a bit lower) and emulator with a map viewer (preferablely with multipull layers) and some way to copy it out or save as a file, which i know VBA can but its for GBA/GBC. Or if you have lots of time you could unpackage the .Nds file to get the tileset and do it all yourself. You then have the problem of if routes overlap and spatialy distorted areas (insides of buildings and caves are a good example also sometimes if you do it square by square then routes overlap). Then once you've got all the maps the most UF way I can think of doing it would be as a webpage type point and click where you click on a building and the internal map pops up with the floors down the side.

Any How I don't know if NDS emulators are that advanced yet and I really don't have the Time

P.S to Outrage's reply, I believe he believes I'm a N00b or Newb or whatever you call them nower days; I have been playing Pokemon since R/B, I have played every pkmn game and on most have LvL 100 teams with around 20 shinys (apart from Green, I could never find a shiny in there, and Pearl which I've only just started [I have however played Diamond I swaped it with a friend for Pearl])

This seems nearly impossible to accomplish. First, there are no legit ROM copies of DS games. Even if you back it up yourself, it would most likely still be illegal because the RSA encryption has to be broken if I'm not mistaken.

Also, the ingame maps are basically 3D models with textures, so you won't get anywhere with tile viewers or map viewers like we know them for the previous generation games or so. Taking screenshots of the game and pasting them together will be really hard, if not to say impossible, as the map where your player currently stands is displayed from a certain camera angle. If you take a screenshot of one part of a city and want to combine it with another screenshot of the city a couple steps away, you will face the problem that the buildings are viewed in different angles on the two screenshots.

I assume the maps for the strategy guide books were made with the map viewer with which the game was developed or a debug version of the game that could change the camera angle.

Outrage, as well as myself, simply didn't understand what you were trying to say in your initial post. You were writing a sentence that wasn't very understandable. That's all.

And besides, I don't see how these points would make you explicitly not a "noob", but that's not the question anyway as no one called you a noob.

Wow, one of the few new users who don't seem to eminate "noob" to me thinks that I think they are a noob.

I mean I realise that my post often comes out as me talking down on people, but what the hell? What part of that response made it seem like I was calling yo a noob? Was it the part where I expressed my confusion as to what you were asking?
